Ok, last update for the year! Blessure Grave - Making The Death Beds... 7" is finally ready, and all pre-orders will ship this week. Currently working hard with getting their debutalbum LP Judged By 12, Carried By 6 shipped off to the plant, will hopefully be out late January. There was some problem with the artwork that still needs to be solved. Alien 8 is doing the CD-version.
No Balls - Come Clean LP is now out of print. Should still be available from several mailorders/stores (try Aquarius, Fusetron, Ken Rock, Pollymaggoo, Volcanic Tongue, Second Layer, All Day or Bis Auf Messers).

Lots of people has been asking what's going on with the mailorder. New records still coming in etc. It was way harder than expected to get the RTB stuff out without doing any trades at all, and being able to put out new releases in a timely fashion. For the moment im not sure about the status. As mentioned in the announcement made 6 months ago, the plan was to still keep new RTB-related stuff in stock. Besides that, there will be a few selected new releases coming in once in a while i guess. We'll see what happens. Sale is still on no matter what and more things are being added all the time, so check back once in a while!

Dove Yellow Swans - Live During War Crimes 3 CD available now! 4 full sets from a band that will truly missed.
The final installment in the Live During War Crimes trilogy, this one being one of the last releases ever from Yellow Swans. Four unedited live sets from the bands last year in existence. Included are the PDX Pop Now set (July 2007), a live soundtrack to a film by Avalon Kalin (February 2008), a set from the Picador, Iowa City (October 2007), and the final US show in Chicago (June 2008). Big sounding stuff, very loud and very dense, with the melodic guitarwork being more prominent just as on the last couple of releases. Epic, sky-shredding beauty in a total playtime of 78 minutes. Mastered by Timothy Stollenwerk at Stereophonic Mastering. Comes in a gatefold sleeve with black felt, cover art by Ryan Boyle.
It's a shame i never even got the chance to see them live but at least this is something. For liner notes by Pete Swanson, go to the releasepage. Distributors will have copies in a few weeks.
As for related news, RTB also got a bunch of copies of the Yellow Swans - Mort Aux Vaches CD in the mailorder. It's amazing and also have the coolest packaging i've seen in a long while! RTB#50 is now available!
UTMARKEN COMPILATION 10" (RTB#50)
Gothenburg 2009. There's something in the air and something is stirring in the eclectic underground. Brewing magic, movements in every corner and truly exciting times. This is a small document of the first year of Utmarken with four acts contributing one track each.
Street Drinkers, the soloproject of Viktor from Ättestupa, uses layers of synths and vocals to create minimal and dreamy music reminiscent of Wet Hair and Peaking Lights, but with a unique Swedish touch. After the feedback-mayhem on the Gothenburg Blood Cult Tape, Källarbarnen is now back with a more subtle and somewhat mellow track, here using synths, drums, bass and vocals. All lights are out and everything is falling apart. White is Dan from Ättestupa/Sewer Election, and the project should be known from the tapes on Harsh Head Rituals and Segerhuva. Hitting it hard with distorted synthbuzz and vocals, it ends up like the bastard child of Suicide via filth, crime and abuse. Ättestupa ends everything with the best song they have done, a haunting and intense piece called Änglamakerskan. Freezing winds evokes the mean spirit of an long forgotten era. Total Swedish coldness and there is no way back.
The 10" comes with liner notes by Matthias Andersson as well as a photo collage from Utmarken. All tracks were recorded at Utmarken between fall 2008 and spring 2009. Mastered by Pete Swanson. Front photography by Andy Liffner, mugshots on the back by David Eng.
Releaseparty is taking place at Utmarken 29/7. Sewer Election and Viking Jews are playing.

The sale is still on. Still some mailorder-turbulence, please expect up to 3 week for delivery now. It has been going very well and most of the old stock is actually gone. RTB is closing the mailorder! Huge sale!
I've been doing the mailorder/distribution since 2000 (yep, it was actually started 2 years before the label was born), but now it's time to move on. Sales has contantly been winding down during the last year, not sure why but it's getting harder and harder to run things properly because of this. I haven't sold a single copy of lots of titles that has arrived this year. Current status in the world certainly dosen't help, and it seems like the whole independent music industry is going through some rough changes for the moment. Some will survive, some will die. People rather order directly from the labels than from mailorders, and it's quite hard to compete with all these limited pressings and so on. I feel like there is no purpose for RTB these days. But more importantly, i just don't want to do it anymore. Lots and lots of hours spent packing up records, standing in line at the post office etc. It used to be filled with joy but not anymore. Some personal changes in life are to occur and i will just do RTB fulltime for a few more months. It's been a fun ride but i will not miss it. RTB as a label will still be the same so no worries there, the upcoming release schedule is insane!
RTB will try to get rid of most of the stock during the summer. After that, there will be a tiny section of RTB related releases kept, and we will most likely try to stock related stuff also in the future (we are talking about a section with maybe 20-30 different titles here, so you will always be able to pick up the latest Ducktails and The Skull Defekts releases from RTB). But the regular RTB mailorder as we know it will be dead and buried.
Here is what will happen:
* There is a huge RTB sale, starting today! Lots of CDs/LPs for around €4.80 each, 7"s/tapes for €2.00 etc. Some are cheaper, some are bit more expensive. Still working on this but im almost done. Check back once in a while, things will change all the time!
* RTB still has LOTS of new stuff on the way, which will be sold for standard price. Newer stuff and RTB related releases will also have the full price. Stuff we have on consignment will also be sold for standard price (and if unsold after the summer, be returned to the labels).
* Cheap secret packages will be available, with some personal favorites that has been impossible to sell for some reason. Not just some random shitty records.
* Some records will be sold on Ebay (I really can't believe some certain records from labels like Nuclear War Now, Qbico and Three Lobed still are in stock!).
* The RTB store at Utmarken will continue to be a shrine for underground music in one way or another, but probably more like a joint store between the in-house labels or something. (On a side note, Swedish people planning to go through the RTB stock at Utmarken should rather place an order in advance via the online store, then you can just pick it up. Things will be messy...)
If any distributors/mailorders/stores would be interested in buying parts of the stock wholesale (or just certain titles), get in touch as soon as possible! Would obviously rather sell as much as possible of the stock in bulk than filling lots of single orders...
Would also like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all returning customers RTB had during the years. It has always been a big pleasure meeting people for the first time after they've been ordering stuff for years! Shoutouts to some of my best customers: Mattias Gustafsson, Kostas Kefalianos, Marcus Svensson and Viktor Ottosson. Dedicated musiclovers and true big-spenders, you literally saved my ass more than once!
So yeah, take your time to browse through the sale carefully, lots of gems to be found for cheap! A good opportunity to check out some new stuff as well.
Wet Hair - Dream CD and Blue Sabbath Black Cheer - Crows Eat The Eyes From The Leviathans Carcass CD available now! Official street date is May 18th but as of today these are ready to be shipped directly from the RTB mailorder. I know everyone hates CDs these days (me too), but the vinyl version of Dream that was put out by Not Not Fun is already out of print and most of the stuff on the BSBC CD is impossible to find now. Wet Hair is coming in a Dual Plover styled gatefold sleeve with black felt (we have used these quite alot now so you should be familiar with the look by now!), and the BSBC has sturdy cardboard sleeves screenprinted and assembled by Stumptown Printers. Black on black print on both the sleeve and the discs, looks killer!
Still very much hot: Tsukimono - Time Canvas 2xLP and the Heavy Winged - Spreading Center CD.
Lots of people are asking what's up with the Blessure Grave 7" and to be honest i have no idea...
So what's in the pipeline for the moment... Next up will be the Ducktails - Backyard CD (yeah, change of title there), which is a collection of all the tapes together with some new stuff. One of my current favories, really looking forward to get this one out! Then we have the Peter Wright - Bright Failing Star LP, which is his first LP ever! Beautiful recording with stunning artwork. Should be out sometime during the summer. Vinyl version of Sewer Elections Bristning is coming up. Originally released as a tape on Klorofyll but the LP will be an extended version. Face dragged in shit. Dolphins Into The Future CD is happening sometime during 2009 as well. In August RTB#50 will be released, more information about this one later on... Also in the works: Tar... Feathers - Chinese Democracy LP, Ättestupa second album, stuff with Golden Jooklo Age, Street Drinkers, Soft Shoulder
etc.
The mailorder has been going very slow the last couple of months, hopefully it gets back on track again or else RTB will not be able to keep that many new titles in stock in the future. Seems like every other distributor/mailorder is currently shutting down so we'll see what happens... Rough times.
RTB is now distributing Electric Annihilation #1 in Europe. First issue has interviews with Emeralds, Heny Rollins, John Olson, Sun Araw and Wet Hair. Plus more stuff. Get in touch for wholesale rates! Single copies can of course also be purchased in the RTB store now!
RTB is hitting the road with Ättestupa and Tar... Feathers in June/July. We will hit a couple of different countries in eastern Europe as well as Germany etc. Full schedule ready soon!

I do not run the Utmarken mailorder so note that these releases can not be ordered from the RTB store (we can usually combine orders though to get the shipping costs down). Hanna Hirsch - Tala Svart is getting great reviews everywhere and is being compared to everything from Tant Strul to Wedding Present. I still listens to the album on a daily basis. Vinyl version is coming out on Adagio 830 this spring and a tape version on Klorofyll Tapes is also in the works.

Two very much anticipated longplayers are finally here after several delays: Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words - Lost In Reflections LP + 7" set and the last Raccoo-oo-oon CD! Both turned out just amazing, Lost In Reflections is probably the most monumental release in the history of RTB. Elaborate packaging that reflects the music in many ways, black as the night. Sleeves with printed insides, black innersleeves, 7" pressed on 70g vinyl, LP on 180g vinyl. Raccoo-oo-oon = 74 minutes! A total future-prog mayhem, if there ever was one. Official release date is november 23rd for both releases, but you can pick up both in the RTB store now. Will start ship later this week...
GBG Energi is taking place in Gothenburg starting this Thursday. RTB acts Ättestupa, The Skull Defekts and Tsukimono is playing as well as several other bands. More info.

RTB is opening a small store front! I will co-run this new space here in Gothenburg under the name Utmarken together with the folks behind Harsh Head Rituals, Klorofyll Kassetter and some other people. The basic idea is to create an nice environment for the eclectic Gothenburg scene, under the same roof there will be a rehearsalplace/studio, a room for screenprinting and exhibitions, a very small RTB store front (+ office/stockroom of course) and so on. Utmarken has two roofs and several different rooms. The place is only 10 minutes by tram from the centralstation in a part of Gothenburg called Almedal (just behind the amusement park Liseberg). Before us, there was an car mechanic service in the same place and the whole building has a very nice industrial feel. Grand opening took place a few weeks ago, Uton and Leafes played and it was a beautiful evening. Note: the RTB store will NOT operate as a regular recordshop, as a start it will only be open on Saturdays. More information, photos and so on here. Check back on a regular basis for updates!

2 new releases ready within the next 3 weeks:
ÄTTESTUPA LP (RTB#45) There is a myth that elders in the old Sweden was thrown down from a big mountain or height when they no longer was for any use in the farms and households. This place was called Ättestupa. And that is the name of a new band from Gothenburg. Dealing with an old era of Sweden, this is music that reeks of plague, desolate countrysides, heathen rituals and long and harsh cold winters. With members from Leafes and Sewer Election, it would be easy to call Ättestupa off as an mix of those two acts when it comes to the sound, but there is definitely more to it than that. With traces of dark folkmusic, black metal and 70's German prog, this is mean-spirited stuff with an unique atmosphere. The debut album is a journey back to a forgotten world, an anti-urban masterpiece. Two tracks ('Tjälen' and 'Den Stora Sjukdomen') and a playtime of 40 minutes. Limited to 330 copies.
DEAD LETTERS SPELL OUT DEAD WORDS - LOST IN REFLECTIONS LP + 7" (RTB#42) The most definite masterpiece so far from Gothenburgs Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words. Fourth album and the first on vinyl only. A beautiful and majestic piece of work ranging from more subtle and abstract parts to epic passages that feels almost orchestrated. Monumental drone music that hurts. Split release with iDEAL, Fang Bomb and When Skies Are Grey.

First there was Skkull then there was The Drone Drug... Continuing on the same path, the sound of The Drone Drug is of a similar relentless minimalistic nature as its predesessor. This could be seen as the electronic backbone to last years amazing Blood Spirits & Drums Are Singing (Conspiracy Records), creating a heavy beast with the most basic and stripped-down use of variations in drones and frequencies instead of guitars and percussion. Monotonous motor humming via drugged-out machinery and assaults of feedback attacking with a strong feel of claustrophobia.
Compared to Skkull, The Drone Drug evolves more around a grim and abrasive sound, constantly toying with lo-fi aesthetics and a rough industrial edge. The atmosphere created is thick and black, bringing up visions of a dystopian society trembling on the edge of the world. Spreading the disease in a world slowly dying, The Drone Drug is poison and affect you it will.

We are celebrating the release of this album at the releaseparty of the Gothenburg 08 CD on Thursday (26/6). The Skull Defekts, Sewer Election, Tsukimono, Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words + more are playing. The Drone Drug will be available for a lower cost this evening.
Loosers/Owl Xounds 7" is at the plant. Portuguese psychedelic jams from Loosers, a quite and subtle guitar-driven piece, and more out there jazz madness from Brooklyn's Owl Xounds on the flipside. Available within the next 2-3 weeks.

In 1984, Gothenburg, Sweden based record label/gallery/publishing house/artist breeding ground Radium 226.05 released 'Gothenburg 84', a now legendary compilation LP. 'Gothenburg 84' documents an unusually creative period in Gothenburg. The LP featured artists such as CM von Hausswolff, Freddie Wadling, Zbigniew Karkowski and Jean-Louis Huhta, all then upcoming talents - now regarded as pioneers.
Now, in 2008, Gothenburg's electronic and experimental scene is again soaring with talent, and it is time again to document a unique era. This is what 'Gothenburg 08' sets out to do. And this is the tracklist:

The NTHnthsthSTH LP, which is a collaboration between Uton and Antony Milton, has been available for mailinglist-members for a few weeks now (sign up now!) but was just added to the store. Copies will go out to distributors within the next few weeks. Truly amazing album recorded in Linnavuori and Wellington from 2005 to 2007. Full colour artwork by both Jani Hirvonen and Antony Milton and liner notes by Jon Dale. 520 copies made. Highly, highly recommended.
The Shameless Kiss Of Vanity III! More than 4 years in the making, RTB has finally unleashed the last part of the trilogy started with RTB#1 back in early 2002! A The Cure tribute with 8 bands covering the classic 1982 album Pornography from start to end: Swann Danger, Turn Pale, Cut City, La Quiete, The Je Ne Sais Quoi, Sixteens, A Trillion Barnacle Lapse and Chromatics. With most tracks recorded back in 2004, this compilation showcases the magic of the early years of RTB better than a regular label sampler ever could. For several reasons we decided to release this on tape only. Pro-duplicated tapes and a one-time pressing of only 250 copies... Unforunately the sound on the tape turned out kind of weird (tape hiss x 1000) so a CDR will be included with all copies. As a bonus, the CDR has some tracks from The Shameless Kiss Of Vanity I and II! This is available in the store now and will ship mid next week.
Tons of new releases in the works. A short status update:
Loosers/Owl Xounds 7" (RTB#38). Everything is done, will be shipped off to the plant within a week for a releasedate in June. Killer stuff from both bands! Watch out for upcoming Loosers releases on Eclipse and Qbico by the way...
The Skull Defekts - The Drone Drug CD (RTB#41). The recording is mastered and done, artwork is being finalized today. Will go to the plant next week and this should be ready in early June. Digipack and limited to 500, just as with the now almost out of print Skkull CD. Will ruin your summer for sure.
Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words - Lost In Reflections elaborate LP + 7" set (RTB#42). This one will hit HARD. Should be mastered any day. Artwork almost done as well it seems. Split release with iDEAL, When Skies Are Grey and Fang Bomb. June! Previews on a few tracks here.

Two new releases confirmed:
Brand new album from Raccoo-oo-oon! RTB will do the CD and Not Not Fun will do a 2xLP of it. The recording is already done and is absolutely fantastic! 76 minutes... 76 minutes! More all over the place, more all over everything. Spaced out prog-madness, just beyond everything. Be prepared. Just waiting for the artwork etc. I think it's safe to say that you can expect this one in July... More detailed information soon.
RTB is also putting out the debut album from Hanna Hirsch! Never heard of them? Elevating and life-changing set-fire-to-policetrucks power from Stockholm, self-described as 'Awkward Buzzcocks' which is pretty damn right on spot! Definitely the most straight up pop-sounding stuff we have released since Tar... Feathers. Listen here (both 'Strålning dödar' and 'Framtid och besvär' will be on the album). Stay up late, get drunk, fall in love. The title of the album will be Tala Svart. Split release with Diskret Förlag.
Yellow Swans broke up. They will be playing a few more shows this summer then it's over. Be sure to pick up the new split LP with Ex-Cocaine, probably the best stuff they have ever done. Incredible.

Gothenburg 2008 will rule the world. So many exciting things happening for the moment and RTB will continue with exploring and supporting the local activites here in town as much as possible. Expected before the summer is no less than 3 releases showcasing the brewing magic that is currently taking place here: brand new fullength CD from The Skull Defekts, kind of similar to Skkull in its minimalistic approach but this one is heavier and waaay dirtier. GRIM sounding stuff. The Drum Drug has been mentioned as a possible title, we'll see... New stunning album, and first on vinyl, from Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words. The title is Lost In Reflections and it will be a LP + 7" set released together with a bunch of other local labels. The final details are still being sorted out on this one but you can expect something elaborate if everything goes as planned... And finally, the vinyl edition of Tsukimono's beautiful recording Time Canvas (originally released as a limited CD-R on Kning Disk last year). On a side note, Fang Bomb is putting out a Gothenburg 2008 compilation soon with the 3 above mentioned acts as well as Sewer Election, Viktor Sjöberg, Jasper TX etc...

The Altar Of Flies/Sewer Election LP is here and ready to ship! Two of the best acts currently dwelling in the depths of the Swedish underground scene. Sewer Election should be well-known by now, previous releases includes a split 12" with Incapacitants, cds on Troniks and Chondritic Sound and the amazing Killing-tapes. Altar Of Flies has created quite a buzz over the last year with a huge amount of very limited tape/cd-r releases. On this split LP, Sewer Election contributes with the nasty Rotten Corpse. A crude and disgusting piece. Monotonous, freezing coldness. Altar Of Flies continues with his dark and eerie forest rumblings. Buried claustrophobic lo-fi insanity straight from hell. Heavy outbursts of feedback. Could've been outtakes from an old Dario Argento soundtrack. Mean-spirited ugliness from both bands. Limited to 325 copies. The Warmer Milks - Let Your Friends In CD and Robedoor - Rancor Keeper CD are now ready since a few weeks back! Thanks alot to everyone that has picked them up so far.
And how appropriate... These 2 fine releases ends the first era of RTB. 2007 has been an overwhelming and absolutely amazing year in many ways, can't explain in words how fun this year has been! 15 releases! But things are changing. Conformity is calling, RTB is changing. It's been a fun ride, 5 years of pure joy and excitement. And lots of hours spent in the post office line. Things just got too obvious in 2007. Now it's time to take things up a notch. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully the ship sails on as usual to December 12th 2012. The mailorder section will expand a lot eventually, and will if everything goes as planned sooner or later also include a nice selection of euro cult DVDs and other non-music related goodies. All for the better! Expect way faster service as well. 2008 will rule. Thank you for your support.

The second album from Tar... Feathers will be out sometime during the year. When is not important. Secrets will be revealed when the time is right. Marcus Nyke told RTB that he wants to do a album that makes people puke. Expect the best pop album ever made.
RTB will put out a limited vinyl version of the stunning Tsukimono Kning Disk CD-R album Time Canvas. This will be a LP with an extra CD-R with additional bonus tracks. A genuine masterpiece and one of the best recordings that came out of Sweden in 2007 for sure. Definitely deserves the vinyl treatment.
A new album from Neil On Impression will be out this spring. They will record it in February and it is supposed to be around 60 minutes long. RTB is putting out the CD version. Expect more endless touring from them around the same time as well. More details soon!
RTB is also doing a new The Skull Defekts album. Another full electronic recording (the first as a 4-piece), this one recorded in a hotel room in Beijing on their China tour that took place in October this year. Expect a CD digipack similar to the Skkull release. Slated for March/April.
Also planned is releases from Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words, Warmer Milks, Pocahaunted and some other stuff, but more detailed information about these later on.

Tsukimono - Bat Heads Roll (RTB#29.5) tape out now!
Tsukimono is the moniker of Johan Gustavsson, originally from the southern parts of Sweden but now residing in Gothenburg. Bat Heads Roll consists of two completely different pieces. The A-side is a live recording of a event that took place in the RTB livingroom 31/8-2007. We celebrated the last day of the summer and Tsukimono played a beautiful set in front of a crowd of maybe 25 people. Mainly driven by an analogue synth, Tsukimono used his whole palette and created something truly amazing this evening. Everything ends with a bang, and the last minute or so was unfortunately not caught on tape (play it LOUD and the abrupt ending will serve as a release from the harsh and abrassive last minute). A 28 minute journey into the realms of punk ambience and the eclectic Gothenburg scene of 2007. The B-side consists of a 19 minute long piece recorded the first week in October, monotonous and heavy synth drone and very different from the live recording in many ways. Limited to 50 tapes, screenprinted covers with artwork by Martin Helge. Pick this up and be sure to check out Tsukimonos other fine releases on labels such as Kallligrammofon and Kning Disk.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the small RTB party last friday! Tsukimono played a set in our livingroom while the sun disappeared over the ghetto, a truly beautiful evening. It was recorded and will be released as a limited tape on RTB soon. We might do more stuff like this in the future, keep your eyes open...

First out, the very much anticipated Meneguar - Strangers In Our House LP! Follows up the much beloved I Was Born At Night. Can't explain in words how GREAT this album is. This is a special tour press, limited to 525 copies. 100 on white vinyl (only about 50 of these are available in the store, the band has the rest with them on tour). Different artwork, beautiful cover sleeve with a black printed interior, black innersleeve, a nice 2-sided insert and all direct mailorders also recieve a newspress tour poster (with printing on both sides)! Shepherds consists of members from Meneguar, Woods and The Vanishing Voice and you may know them from a bunch of tape releases on labels like Not Not Fun and Fuck It Tapes. This is their most full band sounding stuff so far, and a bit different from the earlier stuff. Fans of bands like Avarus and Circle should definitely check this out. Well, everyone should! Mesmerizing kraut-epics for late late autumn nights. Comes packaged in a nice digipack sleeve, limited to 500 copies. A Shepherds 7" (DNT Records) should be available in the store very soon as well.
Also finally available is the long delayed Suis La Lune - Quiet, Pull The Strings! LP. RTB will put out a limited vinyl version of Meneguars upcomming album Strangers In Our House! This will be released just in time for their European tour in September. More detailed information soon! Expect a Altar Of Flies/Sewer Election split LP later this year. The two best acts currently dwelling in the depths of the Swedish underground scene! Sewer Election should be well-known by now, previous releases includes a split 12" with Incapacitants, cds on Troniks and Freak Animal and the amazing "Killing For..." tapes. Altar Of Flies has created quite a buzz over the last year with a HUGE amount of very limited tape/cd-r releases and this will be his first vinyl release. This will definitely be the most disturbing and creepy sounding release so far on RTB, expect mean-spirited and sinister stuff from both bands.
Two new split releases for the 7" series is confirmed, a Owl Xounds and Loosers 7" and a Pocahunted and Orphan Fairytale 7"! After the summer.

The Holy Kiss - Shot Love On A Back Line cd. Their long awaited masterpiece is finally here! Some of you may remember the 7" that was released on RTB in 2004. This is rock 'n' roll that really dosen't sound like anything else... Shot Love On A Back Line captures a rare feeling of an old era, there is something pure and geunine over this recording that is hard to describe in words. Nothing can touch this. 11 songs, including their take on Erik Saties beautiful composition Gnossienes: III Lent. Essential!
The Skull Defekts - Skkull cd. A 4-song odyssey in monotonous and hypnotic electronica from Swedens finest. No hope, no joy, just skull melting darkness. Probably the LOUDEST release so far on RTB. Perfect companion release to Blood Spirits & Drums Are Singing, the upcomming rock album that will be released on Conspiracy this summer. Limited digipack with artwork by Are Mokkelbost.
Edwige - Play The Game Or Leave The Bed 7". The first release in a serie of limited 7"s, each presented in the same way with a pressrun of about 300 copies. Edwige is a collaboration project between Sewer Election (Sweden), The Rita (Canada) and Mania (US), filthy harsh noise brutality dedicated to the much beloved actress Edwige Fenech. Won't last long so don't sleep on this one!
Förmögenhet - Är Det Någon Som Är Snål Så Är Det Du! 7". Where the hell did this one come from? Nobody knows for sure. Blistering madness from Stockholm, heavily influenced by old swedish 70´s punk but with a healthy dose of Black Flag worship in the mix. Features spoken word by Kim Anderzon AND amazing cover artwork by Mina Ögon Mina Ögon-Pontus. 11 songs. Split release with 11 (!) other labels and we only have a handful here...
Don't forget the Xiu Xiu & Grouper and Catena Collapse - Rai Rai Rai/Outback Songs 12"s from last months update, both still avaliable. The Xiu Xiu & Grouper 12" is down to the last 15 copies so pick it up now or regret it forever.
Next up is the Raccoo-oo-oon - Behold Secret Kingdom cd. The band will have them avaliable on their US tour in May and it should be avaliable from RTB around the same time as well. Official street date is 11/6. The vinyl version will be handled by Night People/Not Not Fun and a new 7" is coming out on Gilgongo in time for the tour as well, both will of course be avaliable from RTB. Behold Secret Kingdom just slays everything, their heaviest and most epic-sounding effort so far. There has already been talking in various blogs etc about this being a good runner for the best album of 2007... The band had a limited cd-r edition of the album on the European tour so a few of you have already heard the recording and know how incredible and amazing this really is. A track will also be posted on the RTB Myspace next week. Thanks alot to Thomas Ekelund for helping out with some artwork-related stuff in the last minute for this release!

The two first 12" releases ever on Release The Bats are now avaliable! The Xiu Xiu & Grouper - Creepshow 12" and the Catena Collapse - Rai Rai Rai/Outback Songs 12". Both turned out great! Each 12" is limited to 500. Xiu Xiu will have the collaboration 12" for sale on their US tour in March/April and Catena Collapse will have their 12" with them on their UK dates in March.
Next up is the cds from The Skull Defekts and The Holy Kiss, both are at the plant right now. The releasedate is set to April 9th but they should be avaliable for direct mailorder from RTB a few weeks earlier than that.
The big news this time around is that RTB will put out the new (and technically their first real one, but who knows for sure in these days!) album from Raccoo-oo-oon! Total excitement! This will have 8 songs, go under the title Behold Secret Kingdom and be a beautiful digipack release. The vinyl version is being handled by Night People (and RTB will of course distribute it over here for all you vinyl geeks that refuses to buy cds). Behold Secret Kingdom is being released in May. Small european tour (mostly UK) in March and US tour in May. One of the BEST and most interesting new bands around for sure.
The Edwige 7" is going to the pressingplant as soon as possible. Expect total mayhem.
Tar... Feathers still rules. Got two new tracks a while ago, both so good that it isn't even funny. Pure brilliance. Two new releases confirmed! No rest for the wicked... Release The Bats will put out the vinyl version of the Xiu Xiu & Grouper - Creepshow ep! A beautiful collaboration that surely deserves the vinyl treatment. 5 songs of dreamy soundscapes of an almost ambient nature, not really sounding like any of the 2 bands regular output. This is already on the way to the pressingplant so expect it within the next 3-4 weeks! The cd is avaliable in the store now if you just can´t wait. A review from Pitchfork Media. Also confirmed is a lp with Zodiac Mountain! This band consists of Clay Ruby from Davenport and James Tooth from Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice. The lp will have the demo sessions that was previously avaliable under the name Lake Winnebago from 23 productions, quite different from the new stuff and more simliar to the old Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice stuff. Leafes is here! Old friends and RTB hangarounds from Sweden´s own Jerusalem delivers 6 haunting singer/songwriter anthems on this last minute limited cassette release. The band was formed in November and the songs on this cassette was recorded just about 2 weeks ago! And don´t worry, the major hit Old Town is of course included. This release will only be avaliable from RTB and the band, and won´t last long. SOLD OUT! More info here. Leafes is doing their live debut in Jönköping around christmas. Expect more releases like this between the regular RTB releases in the future (next up is a cassette version of Oubliette's amazing Italian Gore release).
Everyone loves the Nonhorse cd! More than half of the press is already gone. First few reviews should be up soon.
The Catena Collapse 12"is delayed, might be out just in time for their UK tour in March. Endless delays on the Suis La Lune - Quiet, Pull The Strings! lp as well, don´t know what´s up with this for the moment to be honest. Total frustration. The Holy Kiss - Shot Love On A Back Line cd is being mastered right now and the artwork is supposed to be done so this will hit the pressingplant pretty soon. I think it´s safe to aim for a release of this masterpiece in February/March! FINALLY got the last track for The Shameless Kiss Of Vanity Vol.3, a splendid version of Pornography by Johnny Jewel (Glass Candy) & Adam Miller (Chromatics). More than 3 years in the making, this cursed project will finally see the light within the next few months as a very limited lp! The process on the Hive Mind/Panicsville picturedisc 10" is slowly moving forward as well after a long period of silence, more news on this later on. The Dead Machines cd is still happening.
We are putting out a cd with The Skull Defekts! An all electronic album containing 4 long songs, compared to earlier releases this one takes a more minimalistic and monotonous approach but still manages to be heavy as hell! Total Scandinavian coldness. Music to be played LOUD! Artwork by Fredrik Söderberg. Expect Skkull to drop in February/March (probably together with the just mentioned The Holy Kiss cd). The band is playing twice in London early ´07 so catch them if you can.
More! There will also be a cd with Sheperds next year. Sheperds is Christian and Jeremy from Woods/Meneguar and Gabriel from Nonhorse/Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice. They already have a couple of tapes out now which you should try to get your hands on. We will definitely put out something new with Tar... Feathers, he has like 10 new songs that are "almost done" and just needs to be recorded so we´ll see what happens. There is some ideas up in the air that needs to be sorted out. Something new with Neil On Impression could happen as well later on. There has also been some talk about doing something with Robedoor. RTB will also be doing a soon to be announced split release with the fine label Meudiademorte, still working out the details but expect a fullenght lp...
We are also launching a serie of limited 7"s in 2007. Confirmed so far are Woods, Edwige, Nonhorse, Tar... Feathers and a Glass Candy/Chromatics split. Each 7" will be a one-time pressing of 300, black vinyl with full color labels in a black or white big hole sleeve with a small sticker.
Release The Bats needs a logo! After almost 20 releases over 4 years without a real logo it finally feels like it´s time for one. Basically, get in touch for details if you think you are talented enough to create something groundbreaking for RTB. There is NO money involved here but you can at least expect a big bunch of free RTB releases.

We are already working on some more Tar... Feathers releases, first up will be a limited 7" with 2 new songs which might be out in the end of this year. There are plans on touring Germany in early 2007.
The Non-Horse - Haraam, Circle Of Flame cd (RTB#18) will be shipped off to the pressingplant next week. The master/art disappeared somewhere on the way to Sweden which caused a small delay with everything, but this release should be ready next month. More info here.

Over to the big news this time, Release The Bats will put out the debut album from The Holy Kiss! Just got an advance copy of the 11 songs and it´s amazing! Very excited about this. If you liked the 7" we did with them you will definitely love this, still somewhat reminiscent of bands like Crime & The City Solution and early Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds stuff but at the same time something very unique! The title will be Shot Love On A Back Line and we will do the cd (some other label might be doing the vinyl version). A video to the song Birds Sing Bass will be included. A few samples can be heard here (for the moment im totally in love with the song Gnossiennes 3eme Lent...). Avaliable in December. The reissue of the ep The Sacred Heart Of Eddy & Jones is postponed, may or may not be out in the future, we´ll see what happens. A collection cd with all 7" tracks etc will be released on Hungry Eye Records very soon, we will definitely have some copies avaliable in the store later on.

So it´s all happening again... This has been the most intense and awesome summer ever, the last month or so has just been amazing! So many nice memories already and it´s not even over yet. This goes out to Neil On Impression, Tar... Feathers, La Quiete, the Cmar-fellows and Suis La Lune. 'There is a spirit in the air.'
The Neil On Impression/Tar... Feathers tour just started and they played their first show together here in Göteborg yesterday. It was an beautiful evening, lots of people and a very nice atmosphere. A Hawk And A Hacksaw also played and ruled as well. Also thanks to Ladyfest GBG for the dj session. Neil On Impression played a brand new song which was just insane, sooo good. Very different from the rest of the set. Be sure to see them!
The Tar... Feathers - Make Way For The Ocean Floor To Fall To The Surface cd is out now! Best record ever. I strongly recommend everyone to pick this up. The vinyl version (released on Adagaio 830 out of Germany) will be here soon. We will offer the limited colored version (white vinyl) in a special package deal together with the cd shortly so hold your horses if you think this sounds good. Listen to a few songs here. Swedes, take note: Marcus will do a show with a full band in Stockholm on Augusth 9th at Fritz Corner. I guess we can see this as the proper releaseparty for the album since the vinyl should be avaliable by then as well! He will also be playing at Emmabodafestivalen on August 11th (hopefully as a full band!) and on the Cosy Den minifestival I´m from Bräkne-Hoby in the south of Sweden on August 13th (somewhere out in the woods of nowhere, go here for more info). Possible dates in Germany later on in the works. World domination soon.
The Dove Yellow Swans and Neil On Impression cds are now out of print. You should still be able to find both pretty easy in various mailorders etc though so no worries.
As mentioned in the previous post, Release The Bats will put out a new 12" with Catena Collapse! Details are still being sorted out but this will be a split release with our dear friends Adagio 830 and it seems like it will be a one time pressing of 500 12"s. 4 songs. The recording is so good that it isn´t even funny, amazing stuff for sure! The band takes a darker but at the same time more melodic approach with those new songs and the sound is somewhat reminiscent of the late 80´s Dischord stuff. Powerful and haunting music. The last song is 10 minutes long... This should be out in October/November.
Dove Yellow Swans - Live During War Crimes Vol.2 cd in the works. 5 tracks recorded live between January and February in Europe earlier this year. We want to have this out in time for their US tour in September. Hopefully, hopefully. Just got the master and it is CREEPY. Dark and sinister... a incredible collection of recordings. New DYS and Jyrk stuff avaliable in the store, the collaboration cd with Moth Drakula for an example. If you are interested in what´s going on in the Jyrk-camp you should check out their new blog here.
Raccoo-oo-oon still rules. The Is Night People cd is avaliable from the usual suspects now. First reviews will be posted soon. They are working on their first proper fullenght album now, should be out in early ´07. Label tba. Check out their Night People imprint. The Raccoo-oo-oon - Is Night People cd (RTB#17) is finally here after over a month of delays! This is their first recording and was originally released as an limited tape last year. The cd comes packaged in a letterpressed Arigato Pak made at Stumptown Printers and looks awesome. If you´re still not familiar with this band by now you are seriously missing out... Avaliable in the store now along with some other fine distributed Raccoo-oo-oon releases.
The Tar... Feathers - Make Way For The Oceanfloor To Fall To The Surface cd (RTB#15) is being mastered tomorrow and will be shipped off to the pressingplant later this week. The releasedate is August 7th. Marcus has posted some stuff from it here, be sure to check it out (and leave a comment!). The album will be followed by a limited 7" with 2 new songs later this year.
On related news, Neil On Impression will be touring Germany and Scandinavia next month and will most likely be playing a few dates in Sweden together with Tar... Feathers! also confirmed is a fullenght cd with NON HORSE. NON HORSE is a gabriel lucas crane from WOODEN WAND AND THE VANISHING VOICE doing crazy stuff with tapes, creating magic with old weird recordings as source material. truly amazing stuff, the guy is a genius. more info to come.

it's been a LONG while since the last news update. no news is good news. we have just been moving to a new, bigger place and are slowly getting back on track with orders and such. patience!
so, we know you're all waiting for the NEIL ON IMPRESSION cd, and so are we. everything should be ready by know and hopefully we have our copies avaliable within the next week or so. all pre-orders will be shipped as soon as possible. a release show was held in forli, italy, a few days ago.
the WOODS - HOW TO SURVIVE/IN THE WOODS cd is being pressed in this very moment and are avaliable for pre-order in the store now! ready to ship late february/early march. this is fucking brilliant, have been listening to those damn songs on a daily basis for a long while now. this cd will be limited to 500 and when it's gone it's gone so don't sleep on this shit. a WOODS 7" is out now on the very fine label gilgongo records and is avaliable in the store. split 12" with RACCOO-OO-OON on not not fun in the works.
next up is the debut album from TAR... FEATHERS cd (RTB#15) is almost done. i have heard 4 songs (of 10) so far and i really can´t describe it in words! amazing stuff. the title will most likely be MAKE WAY FOR THE OCEANFLOOR TO FALL TO THE SURFACE. it will come in a neat digipack and this release will be limited to 500 copies. we are looking for a label that would be into releasing this on vinyl so get in touch if you are interested. the RTB-sidekick hlg just made a new TAR... a reissue of their "lost" debut ep. this recording is really too good to be missed. the cd has been remastered, will probably have new artwork and should be out around the same time as their new album next year if everything works out fine.

the black album of your favorite label. everything about this compilation lp has been a disaster from day one, this project was started like 2 years ago and it will probably take 2 more before it´s finally done. don´t hold your breath.

some sad news... most of you that care has probably already heard about this by now but RAEIN is no more. i know that this band has left a huge impact of tons of kids and they will definitely be truly missed. 5 years as a band, tours in uk, japan (japan! i still can´t believe it), scandinavia etc, lots of awesome releases... i know that the band is very happy with what they accomplished during those years. i was lucky enough to see them live lots of times (when i think of it, i can´t come up with any other band i have seen so many times as i have seen RAEIN) and i have spent some really good times with those awesome kids that i will always remember. there was some unfinished songs (which i can tell you are something really spectacular) that i hope they will still record and there has also been rumours about a final show in march but i have no info about that yet (but im sure that me and carin will be there if it happens, whenever and wherever it takes place). sigh. life goes on.
alright then. still working hard on getting those 3 previous mentioned cd releases out before the end of the year (check out the previous update for more info about that). things are a mess but it´s not in our hands for the moment. we´ll see what happens.

FEATHERS! this is the project of the release the bats hangaround and dear friend marcus nyke and together with friends he has done some of the best songs i have heard from this country in a very, very long time. think of early k records stuff mixed up with a lo-fi version head on the door-era THE CURE and you might get it. desperation, angst and that beautiful lets burn down this fucking city to the ground-feeling. they released a demo cd-r which was the talk of the town for a few hot summer months this year, you can listen to my favorite song from it here. the songs are being recorded as we speak and rumours are that the recordingsession takes place in a small cabin on a island on the swedish eastcoast. who knows. we are aiming for a release in late january but since everything is going so damn slow here for the moment february is probably more likely. this will for sure be the most pop-sounding release we have done so far and this will also definitely be the best shit you will hear from sweden in 2006, trust me.
we are also doing a cd with RACCO-OO-ON sometime in the first months of 2006! we are still sorting out the details but it looks like this will be a collection of some old stuff. hella excited about this. awesome band. other future releases from RACCO-OO-OON includes a split 7" with SWORD HEAVEN on not not fun and also a split 12" (the other band not yet confirmed as far as i know) on the same label + more rad stuff.
YELLOW SWANS are in australia now, playing shows all over together with GREY DATURAS. after australia they are hitting new zealand! dates somewhere to the right. in december they are touring the american west coast together with AXOLOTL, INCA ORE and a few others and in january/february next year they will come over to europe! insane. the touring machine never stops. there is a new batch with jyrk releases avaliable, should have most of it here soon. don´t miss out on it, one of the best labels around for sure. the collaboration cd with THE CHERRY POINT is avaliable in the store now, expect some harsh shit.

besides the HONEYHANDER ep, both the NEIL ON IMPRESSION - THE PERFECT TANGO cd and the WOODS cd should be out before the end of the year as well. angelino is working hard on the layout for the NEIL ON IMPRESSION cd right now and as soon as everything is done it will be sent off to the pressingplant. he has done stuff for XIU XIU and VAN PELT recently, check out his work here. the cd will come in a beautiful foldout gatefold sleeve. haven´t got that much info about the WOODS cd yet, but the artwork is done (will have the same package as the DOVE YELLOW SWANS cd!) and this should be out late december! more WOODS info very soon, promise.

Ascending onto our culture provocatively calculating it’s every facet comes Honeyhander. Hailing from Rhode Island’s wonderfully eccentric district of Providence, the band utilizes a palette of sound that is as extensively intricate as it is intense. The quintet juggernauts through songs crafting an amalgamation of sonically obliterated new wave, jagged post-punk and densely layered dream pop to create some sort of gorgeous cacophony clatter. we will put out the debut fullenght from NEIL ON IMPRESSION! this band hails from italy and features alessio (aka the boy with the golden smile) from RAEIN on guitar. this is without a doubt one of the best instrumental albums i have ever heard. dark and moody music, really, really beautiful stuff. 4 songs in about 35 minutes. a huuuge improvement from their cdep from last year, it´s like a completely different band. angelino/LA QUIETE will hopefully do the artwork and the cd will be packaged in some kind of digipack. we will put out the cd together with the label GRAB THE STARS from italy and LIFE IN A BOX from uk will take care of the vinyl. slated for late 2005.
there will be a cd of some sort with THE WOODS in late 2005. THE WOODS features jeremy and christian from MENEGUAR and are doing awesome lo-fi singer/songwriter folk stuff. released a double cassette on FUCK IT TAPES earlier this summer which is just amazing.
if you know me you probably also know that im totally obsessed with the italian genrecinema. a project that has been on the planning basis for a long while is finally in the works, a soundtrack tribute! the original idea was to make a compilation but i found it very hard to find bands that i actually really like that also share my love for these wonderful movies. so, RTB ended up with HIVE MIND and PANICSVILLE and the result will be a split picturedisc 10"! as it looks now, PANICSVILLE will take care of fabio frizzis amazing score from THE BEYOND and HIVE MIND will most likely explore the spaghetti western terrain in one way or another... both bands rules so hard and you should really check them out if you already haven´t. HIVE MIND is selfdescribed as "true hateful bleak drone" and have a big bunch of tapes, cds and other stuff out on various labels. PANICSVILLE has been around for more than 10 years now and are still growing strong. go and buy the PERVERSE album from last year, essential stuff. yes! expect this 10" to be thick, heavy, limited and expensive as hell. late, late 2005.
we will more or less stop doing vinyl after the ones we already are working on are ready. mostly because of the insane shippingrates when shipping boxes with bigger sized vinyl overseas etc. since we are doing all distribution by ourselves for the moment we are just loosing way to much money, shipping 5 records here and 10 records there all over the world. hopefully we will take up the vinyl business later on in one way or another. the SPECTOR PROTECTOR/ZONETECH 12", the HIVE MIND/PANICSVILLE picturedisc 10" and THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.3 LP will all be pressed in only 300 copies each and when they are gone they are gone. the vinyl reissue of THE HOLY KISS - THE SACRED HEART OF EDDY & JONES we are working on will be released as some kind of a anthology cd insted with extra tracks!

LADY GODIVA OPERATIONS, the label we did a few splitreleases with in the past, has called it quits. one of the better swedish labels and it will be missed by many for sure. we will get some boxes with 1999 and GLASS CANDY - BRÄCKLIGA KVINNOR leftover 7"s from LGO soon, both have been unavaliable from us for almost a year now.

the HONEYHANDER cdep should be out next. the recording is done and should be here soon! there has been talk about adding a PLEASUREHORSE (load records fame) remix on the ep that will not be on the us version. we´ll see! andy dixon/the chemistry design will do the artwork for both versions, same concept but still a different look. you can still listen to mp3s from their demo on their website and im pretty sure some samples from the new recording will be added later on.
so what´s the word on THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.3? sorry for the lack of updates recently, everything is a mess just like always. we have been busy loosing label-money on texas holdem and god knows what. the long awaited 7" from THE HOLY KISS is finally out! order now. avaliable from rough trade, x-mist and a few other places with taste very soon.
we will do a cdep with the rhode island band HONEYHANDER next year. this new band features members from a trillion barnacle lapse and as the sun sets. sounds a bit like if atbl would have been around 15-20 years ago insted and released 7"s on creation records. amazing stuff! the ep will have the title WOOLLY MANNERSIMS and will probably have 4-5 songs. a song from their demo will be featured on the release the bats! label sampler cd-r that should be avaliable within the next few weeks.

back on track. the tour went very well and i had some of the best days ever. thanks to nicola, michele, alessio, andrea, marco, cebio & taylor for everything.
the RAEIN 7" is out now, most of the pre-orders are shipped and we will start send out records to distros and so on next week. half of the press is already gone and it looks like this 7" will go fast! thanks to everyone involved in the making of this release, you know who you are. the RAEIN splits with FUNERAL DINER (on red cars go faster) and PHOENIX BODIES (on crucificados) are out now as well and avaliable from the store. the split 10" with DAÏTRO should be out late september on ape must not kill ape records. some photos from the show in umeå taken by maria.
next up is the 7" with THE HOLY KISS. 2 new songs in the same vein as the stuff on the rising 2x7", totally amazing! will be pressed on thick 70g vinyl with beautiful fullcolor artwork. hopefully this will be shipped off to the pressingplant within the next few weeks. it´s just a matter of cash flow, always. THE HOLY KISS/NEW COLLAPSE 7" out this winter on kill shaman records.
the SWANN DANGER 10" is slowly finding it´s way out to mailorders etc. be sure to pick one up if you still haven´t got it. split 7" with LIVING SCIENCE FOUNDATION out on kill shaman records in a few months and they will also be featured with a new song on the upcoming GSL compilation.
life after sundown, a new 5-song GLASS CANDY cd/12" is coming out on troubleman unlimited in september. can´t wait.

THE VANISHING/SPECTOR PROTECTOR 12"
two songs from each band. THE VANISHING probably dosen´t need a further introduction, one of the best bands around for the moment. they will contribute with remixes of two songs from their upcoming second fullenght still lifes are falling (out october 26 on GSL). SPECTOR PROTECTOR hail from san francisco as well (although THE VANISHING are relocating to berlin!) and this will be their vinyl debut. hints of joy division mixed up with early swans or something like that, cold and disturbing shit for sure. incredible. can´t wait to get this record into production! out in november.
THE HOLY KISS - THE SACRED HEART OF EDDY AND JONES LP
yep, the stunning debutalbum from THE HOLY KISS will finally be avaliable on vinyl! this was originally released as a cd-only on the now defunct label blood of the young records early 2003 but for various reasons it kind of got "lost", very few here in europe seems to know about the existence of this record. 8 songs that are reminiscent of early nick cave & the bad seeds, gun club etc. it looks like it will get remastered for the vinyl release and it may also come with an updated artwork and so on. something to look forward to for sure! november/december...

the SWANN DANGER 10" is finally here! it sure took some time, just as it always does. the label is cursed. anyway, it turned out really good and we are very happy with the result, looks amazing and sounds amazing! these 5 songs is all you need for the moment. the ep of the summer. pre-orders will be shipped this weekend and it will be avaliable from rough trade, x-mist, nova etc soon. go to the releases page for reviews and all that jazz.

so it´s been a while, the summer is here again and so is morrissey. the last month has been great, im so in love with this fucking town. shoutouts to daïtro from france for being an amazing band! this is a time we´ll remember and so on.
on to the label news... both the GLASS CANDY and 1999 7"s are more or less sold out from me, i do still have a few left for mailorder but if you want to order them for your store or whatever i suggest you to get in touch with lady godiva (both 7"s) or promenade (only the 1999 7"). reviews and stuff will be posted soon.
the SWANN DANGER 10" was shipped off to the pressingplant a few days ago, expect it in june. this is cynthia and andy from heart of snow (released a stunning ep on GSL a few years ago) doing pretty much the same thing, just better! think of xmal deutschland mixed up with some mid era siouxsie and the banshees or something. slow and calm songs. this ep will be the shit, 5 songs in almost 25 minutes, laminated covers, nice insert, white vinyl. pre-orders will be accepted soon, just need to get a go! from the pressingplant.
the master for the 7" with THE HOLY KISS is here. soooo good, grey horizons are one of the best songs i have heard so far this year! amazing artwork by some artist from london named merlin. should be out within the next few months. for mp3 samples and the cover artwork, go here. they have a 2x7" out on GSL now which you can order from us, strongly recommended! good shit.
also here is the master for the RAEIN - DOM DÖDA MARSCHERAR ÅT VÄST 7". so fucking good that it hurts. it will be out just in time for their scandinavian tour in august and it looks like my friend henriik "i know people" michelson will do a screenprinted cover for this one. there is still some details to be sorted out about this but i really hope it will happen. RAEIN is one of the best european bands around for the moment and this release means a lot to me. amazing kids. will see them live for the first time next week, can´t wait!

ok, we are back with a bang. it´s been almost 6 months since our last release but this week we released not one but two new 7"s at once! yep, both the GLASS CANDY - BRÄCKLIGA KVINNOR 7" (what, finally? hell yeah!) and the 1999 7" is out now and both turned out really really great. all pre-orders will be shipped this weekend. the lucky winner of the GLASS CANDY testpress is rickard linblom, eskilstuna. congratulations! both 7"s will be avaliable from stickfigure and troubleman unlimited in north america, rough trade in the uk and x-mist in germany (plus various smaller distros/mailorders as usual), all within the next few weeks.
the next release will be the 10" from SWANN DANGER. we are still in big need of some serious cash for this one but will do our best to have this record out just in time to destroy your summer. expect it in june.
the songs for the 7" with THE HOLY KISS is recorded, should have the master very soon. can´t wait. the artwork is under production as we speak. it will have two songs, "back to colma" and "grey horizons". get their new 2x7" on gsl in the meantime, will be avaliable from the store here in a few weeks.
i recently got an rehearsal-recording without vocals of one of the RAEIN songs that will be on the 7" we are putting out with them. sooo good! this 7" will be amazing. i love this band so much. they have lots of new releases in the works: split 10" with DAITRO, split 7"s with FUNERAL DINER and PHOENIX BODIES + more. get it all.
the rumours are true, BLACK EYES split up. sad indeed. their new record will still come out (may 31th on dischord).

first, the 1999 - MIDNIGHT PEOPLE 7" will be shipped off to the pressingplant very very soon. i think the artwork should be ready by now, i still haven´t seen it but kullman, the promenade boss, got a glimpse of it a couple of days ago and told me it looks beautiful. expect the release of this 7" in february. second, finally got the last bucks needed for the pressing of the GLASS CANDY AND THE SHATTERED THEATRE - BRITTLE WOMEN 7" reissue! if everything works out well this one should be out in february as well.
soon after those two 7"s hit the streets we will try to get the SWANN DANGER 10" into production. should be out in march. hold your breath.

the GLASS CANDY - BRITTLE WOMEN 7" reissue will definitely not be out before the end of the year as said in the november update. we have decided to only press 500 now, to keep the bling bling amounts down and to speed things up a bit. everything will be shipped to the pressingplant mid january so expect this release to hit the streets in february. there will most likely be a repress of another 500 7"s later in 2004 too. sorry for the endless delays on this one, i promise it will be well worth the wait.
the 1999 7" will be shipped to the pressingplant in january as well. im really stoked about this release. they are working on the artwork now and im sure everything will turn out great. the 7" will have two songs, "midnight people" and "legends". both are already minor hits thanks to the mp3s on their site! 1999 is featured in the latest issue of the swedish yada yada magazine nöjesguiden, check out a scan here.

BLACK EYES were great live, some of the best stuff i have seen this year for sure. they did an interview with the swedish television for the show musikbyrån that will be aired early 2004 i think. we got a return of a couple of BLACK EYES 7"s from a distro some days ago but they sold out in no time so they are already all gone, sorry. a new BLACK EYES record is coming out on hand held heart sooner or later. the "closet full of clothes" compilation lp with a new BLACK EYES song is avaliable in the store now!
the new 12" from THE JAM SESSION was just released on crucificados records! "att skingra det mörker som betäcker landet", hell yeah. this record is so fucking good! 7 songs, very heavy and very metal. amazing stuff indeed. beautiful artwork and packaging as well. order now from the store! we will most likely do a 7" with the new swedish band 1999. this will be a split release with promenade records and lady godiva operations. 1999 is truly amazing, easily the best swedish stuff in a long long time! think KILLING JOKE meets PIXIES. or something. go here for mp3s and all that jazz. more info later on.
a new band added to THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.3 is TURN PALE. they will do either a short term effect or pornography. i have a huge crush on this band. the few songs i have heard reminds me a lot of THE BIRTHDAY PARTY and well, there is a reason for the name on my label dude. there will also be a TURN PALE 7" on release the bats next year. they have a fullenght cd out now on what else records and there will be a 7" on ruffian records (hugh from BLACK EYES label) later this year. already confirmed bands for THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.3 is A TRILLION BARNACLE LAPSE (cold), LA QUIETE, SWANN DANGER (one hundred years) and CUT CITY (the hanging garden).

we just got the song from THE VANISHING for THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY - THE CURE TRIBUTE vol.2 7"! it´s a totally stunning version of a forest... couldn´t be happier. this song will leave huge fucking scars on people, trust me. on the other hand, the SOMETHING ABOUT VAMPIRES AND SLUTS side will kick the heartache in the face with a hammer with their upbeat and loud version of grinding halt. this 7" will be out before the GLASS CANDY - BRITTLE WOMEN 7", everything will be sent off to the pressingplant tomorrow. expect this release early october. more info soon! there will be a limited pre-order edition as usual.
over to the big news: THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.3 will be a lp with bands covering the whole pornography album! in other words 8 songs from 8 different bands. everything is still pretty much on the planning basis but confirmed so far is A TRILLION BARNACLE LAPSE (cold), CUT CITY (the hanging garden), SWANN DANGER (one hundred years) and LA QUIETE (no song confirmed). there will be more news soon, expect a killer lineup (and no, we´re not looking for bands or anything like that for the moment). everything should be ready early 2004 but you never know. im very very excited about this project, this will definitely be something extra!
the GLASS CANDY - BRITTLE WOMEN 7" reissue will take some more time, sorry for the delay! it will be well worth the wait, promise. GLASS CANDY buttons avaliable next week, look at the design here. t-shirts to follow soon.

it´s been a looong time since the last update. let´s blame it on the summer.
we will do a 5-song 10" with SWANN DANGER! this new band features cynthia and andy from HEART OF SNOW (they released a 12"/cdep on GSL records a few years ago if you remember, very recommended). if you liked HEART OF SNOW you will definitely love SWANN DANGER, pretty much the same thing, just a bit slower. fans of SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES will shit their pants. this 10" should be out sometime this fall. more info later on as usual.
i was just told that THE VANISHING recorded a forest for THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.2 a couple of days ago! this is some good news. can´t wait to get my hands on this! a forest, that´s one of the best songs ever dude. LA QUIETE will not make it to vol.2, insted they will have a song on vol.3 (big plans for vol.3 by the way, more info next update or something...). anyway, THE SHAMELESS KISS OF VANITY vol.2 will be out in a couple of months, it´s just a matter of cash for the moment.
