Ducktails - Backyard CD out now! It collects all the early tapes. Total playtime is close to 74 minutes! Perfect summer soundtrack. Be sure to pick up the NNF album as well, RTB has copies of the LP in stock now and they have been going fast!
The sale is still on. Still some mailorder-turbulence, please expect up to 3 week for delivery now. It has been going very well and most of the old stock is actually gone. Still lots of new stuff on the way so it will take a few months before the mailorder is gone. And as mentioned earlier, RTB will still have a small selection of RTB-related items! Note that the store will be closed between June 19th and July 7th, you can still place orders during this period but no orders will be processed whatsoever. No e-mails will be replied either. Thanks. In the works for the rest of the year (probably in this order):
* Utmarken compilation 10". RTB#50! Showcasing the Gothenburg underground scene of 2009 with Ättestupa, White, Källarbarnen and Street Drinkers, all Utmarken-related acts. Will be shipped off to the pressingplant this week and should be done in July.
* Peter Wright - Bright Failing Star LP. First fullenght vinyl from Peter Wright! August. www.distantbombs.com
* Dolphins Into The Future CD. Not much information yet but this should be done fairly soon, late summer? Lieven is cooking it right now, and if the NNF LP is anything to go by... One of the most unique artists in Europe for the moment.
* Dove Yellow Swans - Live During War Crimes III CD. Last installment in the LDWC series, this collects some of the very last DYS shows. After the summer.
* Sewer Election - Bristning LP. Extened vinyl version of the long gone Klorofyll tape. Up there with Kassettmusik as the very best SE release.

RTB is closing the mailorder! Huge sale!
I've been doing the mailorder/distribution since 2000 (yep, it was actually started 2 years before the label was born), but now it's time to move on. Sales has contantly been winding down during the last year, not sure why but it's getting harder and harder to run things properly because of this. I haven't sold a single copy of lots of titles that has arrived this year. Current status in the world certainly dosen't help, and it seems like the whole independent music industry is going through some rough changes for the moment. Some will survive, some will die. People rather order directly from the labels than from mailorders, and it's quite hard to compete with all these limited pressings and so on. I feel like there is no purpose for RTB these days. But more importantly, i just don't want to do it anymore. Lots and lots of hours spent packing up records, standing in line at the post office etc. It used to be filled with joy but not anymore. Some personal changes in life are to occur and i will just do RTB fulltime for a few more months. It's been a fun ride but i will not miss it. RTB as a label will still be the same so no worries there, the upcoming release schedule is insane!
RTB will try to get rid of most of the stock during the summer. After that, there will be a tiny section of RTB related releases kept, and we will most likely try to stock related stuff also in the future (we are talking about a section with maybe 20-30 different titles here, so you will always be able to pick up the latest Ducktails and The Skull Defekts releases from RTB). But the regular RTB mailorder as we know it will be dead and buried.
Here is what will happen:
* There is a huge RTB sale, starting today! Lots of CDs/LPs for around €4.80 each, 7"s/tapes for €2.00 etc. Some are cheaper, some are bit more expensive. Still working on this but im almost done. Check back once in a while, things will change all the time!
* RTB still has LOTS of new stuff on the way, which will be sold for standard price. Newer stuff and RTB related releases will also have the full price. Stuff we have on consignment will also be sold for standard price (and if unsold after the summer, be returned to the labels).
* Cheap secret packages will be available, with some personal favorites that has been impossible to sell for some reason. Not just some random shitty records.
* Some records will be sold on Ebay (I really can't believe some certain records from labels like Nuclear War Now, Qbico and Three Lobed still are in stock!).
* The RTB store at Utmarken will continue to be a shrine for underground music in one way or another, but probably more like a joint store between the in-house labels or something. (On a side note, Swedish people planning to go through the RTB stock at Utmarken should rather place an order in advance via the online store, then you can just pick it up. Things will be messy...)
If any distributors/mailorders/stores would be interested in buying parts of the stock wholesale (or just certain titles), get in touch as soon as possible! Would obviously rather sell as much as possible of the stock in bulk than filling lots of single orders...
Would also like to take the opportunity to say thank you to all returning customers RTB had during the years. It has always been a big pleasure meeting people for the first time after they've been ordering stuff for years! Shoutouts to some of my best customers: Mattias Gustafsson, Kostas Kefalianos, Marcus Svensson and Viktor Ottosson. Dedicated musiclovers and true big-spenders, you literally saved my ass more than once!
So yeah, take your time to browse through the sale carefully, lots of gems to be found for cheap! A good opportunity to check out some new stuff as well.
