THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE - LIFT YOUR BURDENS HIGH CD    (alone)
"Saddest Landscape's newest effort, 'Lift Your Burdens High For This Is Where We Cross', is full of emotion and power. They play a real style of emo that pulls from the mid eighties roots and the early nineties screamo explosion but also have a very distinct hardcore sound mixed in. If you are a fan of emo and bands like The Swing Kids, The Still Life and Orchid you will probably love The Saddest Landscape." (80kr/€9)

SALCHICHA 7"    (carmen diablo)
"Salchicha played in the electric city Valencia from 2003 to 2004. They did few shows and only recorded this greasy 7" that has become a great document of panuniversal, pasteurized and foamy noise rock. MP3 (35kr/€4)

SAVIOURS - CRUCIFIRE CD    (level plane)
"Inspired by their common love of the dark and dirty sounds of late 70s and early 80s new wave of British heavy metal, the Saviours formed in Oakland, California, over the summer of 2004. Former Yaphet Kotto members Austin Barber (vocals, guitar), Scott Batiste (drums), and Mag Delana (guitar, also formerly of Bread and Circuits), joined together with bassist Cyrus Comiskey (Drunk Horse) and 3rd (!) guitarist Tyler Morris, intent on saving heavy music from its current state of lackluster purgatory. With the demonic vibe of classics like Bathory, Venom and even Black Sabbath in mind, Barber began to scrawl blasphemous diatribes that'd make even the most thick skinned Christian rockers shiver in their shoes. Meanwhile, guitars were down-tuned, distortion was cranked up, and a powerful, sub-harmonic, rhythm section lay down unearthly grooves." MP3 (100kr/€10.50)

SAVIOURS - WARSHIP 12"    (level plane)
"Oakland's SAVIOURS emerge with the mighty WARSHIP EP, just months after genesis. Wielding a knee-weakening wall of noise that recalls MELVINS, BATHORY and IRON MAIDEN, SAVIOURS thoroughly execute triple-guitar bewilderment consummated by leagues of thunderous cadence. An unhealthy fixation on the occult steers this volume-obsessed unit, which features members of the esteemed yet elusive YAPHET KOTTO, toward the downward path of the infernal regions. Cover art by acclaimed artist Tim Lehi, as well a B-side etching on the vinyl. Ordain SAVIOURS and the WARSHIP EP for eminence in the summer of 2005." (90kr/€9.50)

THE SEA, LIKE LEAD/BELEGOST CD    (electric human project)
"Two Pennsylvania bands fill 41 minutes of space with three instru-metal exorcisms. Pittsburgh's The Sea, Like Lead are three men armed with ambience and warmth whose guitar driven sounds are backed with delicate layers of reverb and unwavering drums. Their songs are built up in an almost Godspeed You Black Emperor fashion, persistently pushing and pushing sounds. Philadelphia's Belegost (ex-IO, Virginia Black Lung, etc.) end the record with one track topping 22 minutes. A spine-shivering debut from this five piece outfit, featuring three guitarists. Their unique sound intermixes elements of Mono, The Polyphonic Spree, Pelican, and a love for the nerdiest literature of the land. This is the soundtrack to a decaying landscape and the hope for a change. CDs come packaged in 100% recycled arrigato paks." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

SEDAYE MARG - FRASHOGARD (COUP D'ETAT COMMUNICATIONS) CD    (mechanoise labs)
"First proper CD release for this new incarnation of Sedaye Marg, courtesy of Coup d'Etat Communications. While a departure from the all-out assault of past releases (which is to a certain degree responsible for the new spelling in its name), it retains the processed and distorted percussions and strident electronics while incorporating more elements from its key subject of modern persian history. A soundtrack to military coups, rapid modernization, misguided faith, betrayals and ultimately rebirth." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

SEEIN RED LP    (ebullition)
"This new LP, titled We Must Do More Than Just Music, features twenty-two brand new protest tracks from Seein' Red. Recorded in 2005. These 22 songs are fast, angry political hardcore songs as only Seein' Red does them. Seein' Red has been together for many, many years. They have played all over the world. They have released dozens and dozens of records. And they are a very well known and respected hardcore band. Angry, political, and pissed off... Seein' Red offers a wall of hardcore noise. Powerful music with a powerful message." (90kr/€9.50)

THE SETUP/SCHEMATIC OF A WAKING LIFE CD    (electric human project)
"Richmond Virginia's THE SETUP blast through four of their hardest offerings to date. Combining elements of hardcore, punk rock, and straight up metal, these southern boys detonate chunky guitar riffs that would make any early METALLICA fan go nuts with collapsing vocals. The results? An overly aggresive and sadistic composition for fans of everything from CONVERGE to TRAGEDY. Features Chris Kirby from LIGHT THE FUSE AND RUN on guitar. SCHEMATIC OF WAKING LIFE lay down three tracks of post hardcore perfection. Songs suggestive of a DC sound from the 1990's brewed with the updated offerings of HOT CROSS and OFF MINOR. These New Englanders manage to be melodic and cathcy without loosing their frantic edge. This split, the bands follow up to their cdep 'Cinders And Seeds' on Bug Empire, takes everything up a notch. Desperate and controlled. Passionate and angry." (80kr/€8.50)

THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT - GUNS OF AUGUST LP    (scenester credentials)
"FT (The Shadow Government) formerly know as "Flaccid Trip" have set to music the sounds of a new area of military governments and the cries of the people they rule. Recorded by Mike Lust in Chicago and by FT the SG in Iowa City at flat black studios. 'Guns of August' is a sonic call to arms that incorporates all styles of music in its attempt to break down genres and topple governments. FT the SG's band members read more like a list of old war veterans with members of: Ten Grand, Forstella Ford, Tornavalanche, and Head of Femur. Also, inlisted for this recording were: Nathan (call me lightning), Connor (shedding), and Bob and Zach (tornavalanche). With plenty of fire power behind them FT the SG is armed to restore order to music and the rest of the world. Wake up sheeple!" MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

SHADOWS INFINITUM COMPILATION CD-R    (crucial bliss)
"Companion piece to the RECORD OF SHADOWS INFINITE compilation CD on Crucial Blast. The wrangling of top-notch drone artists continues with this full length, extremely polished CD-r release, limited to 250 copies. Exclusive tracks from DEAD RAVEN CHOIR, ENCOMIAST, KORPERSSCHWACHE, EXISTENTIAL DILEMMA, BURNING STAR CORE, FEVERDREAMS, NADJA, MARAX, and UNHOLYDEATHMACHINE run the gamut: these further explorations of the drone touch on blackened folk creep, glacial hum and gorgeous ambient bliss, buzzsaw feedback rituals, imploding-sun droneblast, improvised clatter and drift, epic dronemetal, vampiric dronenoise, and schizophrenic kool-aid burble riots. Another exercise in intelligent, outsider droneworks from CRUCIAL BLAST." (50kr/€5.50)

SHALL NOT KILL CD    (impure muzik)
"The new SHALL NOT KILL is also avaible and it will be the last as the band decided to split off at the end of june after their tour with Gantz and an ultimate show in Reims on the 24 of June with Crowpath and Submerge. This record is unsane! noisy émo sludge hardcore? really a special touch! never the band sound so oppressive and intense! Although they will be record, the last songs they have written and a cover from Hiatus for a split with TEKEEN, MOON and THE FANTASTIK HOLE. MP3 (95kr/€10)

SHEARING PINX - POISON HANDS CD    (gilgongo)
"Canada's no-wave/noise take on Unwound. Reissue of their beyond awesome and completely under-appreciated double 3" CDr on Not Not Fun. 8 songs and a 20 minute noise jam, rounding out 40+ minutes of chaos. Beyond positive rad productive kids who also spend time in Channels 3+4, In Flux, and the absurd/rad vanity label Isolated Now Waves." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

SHEARING PINX - CAVES 7"    (dnt)
"Oh-oh-oh! Yes! Yes! This is what I've been waiting for for so long: a band I love enough to release vinyl by. And this is that band, Shearing Pinx They're sort of like, a no-wave influenced, totally shred-tastic group of three bandits from Vancouver, British Columbia. I was lucking enough to see them not once, but TWICE last week in Los Angeles, which, unfortunetly was not the release show, due to delays at the plant. But here it is: A four-song 7" at 33rpm on transparent-green vinyl with green labels in silk-screened covers, artwork by the Pinks themselves. It's a limited edition, of 400, hand-numbered. Git 'em while they're hot, because nearly half are already gone, thanks to some sweet stores and distros. Enjoy!" MP3 (40kr/€4.50)

SHEPERDS - ACID BATH TAPE    (arbor)
"The acid drenched guitar hymns on this tape, seem to come from somewhere other then Brooklyn. It sounds like an escape from the city. The sounds contained within still feature the rhythm and busy-ness of the city, but sound as though they were recorded on an old tape deck in the woods, or the shed in the woods behind the cabin in the woods. It is only fitting that members of Shepherds come from groups such as Meneguar, Woods, Non-Horse, and Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice. It features the same "drop everything and make music" vibe that those other projects produce. Perfect hearthside tape to keep you warm as those metropolitan winters are approaching. Features super nice silkscreened art by Shawn Reed of Raccoo-oo-oon with copper rusted tapes. In a numbered edition of 100 copies." (60kr/€6.50)

SHIKARI - 1999 TO 2003 CD    (level plane)
"there was a time when hardcore bands were unrelenting, chaotic and powerful. it seems that more often than not, modern hardcore is able to deliver one of those elements, but rarely all three. taking their cue from the mid 1990's bands that emerged from bremen, germany (acme, systral, mörser, et al.) is the netherlands' shikari. the band's latest release on level-plane records collects all of their out of print recordings from 1999-2003. this includes the acclaimed robot wars 10", the split 10" with dutch punk legends seein' red and various 7" efforts. for the uninitiated, shikari combines a brutally thick guitar attack with rhythms ranging from lightning fast blasts to crucial metallic breakdowns. the assault never ends and one wonders why this band has not yet made it to the us in the wake of the popularity of bands like orchid and converge. shikari packs a sonic punch that could likely render metalcore and chaotic hardcore enthusiasts senseless and battered. this is a prime opportunity to pick up some of this band's prime material. you slept once. do not sleep again." MP3 (100kr/€10.50)

THE SHIVERING - AND BRAND THE GROUND WITH STORM AND SONG CD    (alone)
"much like their dc brethren did in the early nineties, oakland's the shivering injected melody and raw emotion into the intensity and unharnessed energy of hardcore. following the lead of melodic punk pioneers rites of spring, swiz and even old timers husker du, the shivering crafted emotionally driven hardcore with a social message; songs of genuine personal and political struggle that has the sincerity that most of today's manufactured emo is devoid of. the shivering captured the sound and the state of mind that revolutionized punk in the early nineties and created a series of works that preserves what revolution summer was all about; sincerity. in an effort to preserve the shivering's previous offerings, alone records is releasing the council records ep’s along with a track form the 'wayfarers all' compilation on a collection of works cd titled, 'and brand the ground with storm and song'." (70kr/€7.50)

SHORA - MALVAL CD    (conspiracy)
"Grounded by precise rhythmic movements and pulsing guitars, MALVAL is a shape-shifting blend of the beautiful and the uncertain. The elegant, unusual and subtle melodies always swaying towards an almost unreachable closure. Lulling you towards comfort and security before erupting or imploding into yet another phase, leaving you to wander how, when, what and why. An independent and cyclic journey that will always be, its arms always open but its back always turned. Simultaneously comforting and cold, MALVAL is a mysterious instrumental voyage that will, for the foreseeable future, intrigue and occupy the depth of all who care to listen." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

SIGHTINGS/TOM SMITH - GARDENS OF WAR CD    (smack shire)
"Sightings love Tom Smith and To Live & Shave in L.A. with a tad too much avidity. Tom Smith has a similar problem – he loves the fuck out of Sightings. They first worked together in 1999, when TS supervised Sightings recording sessions in NYC. Tom produced a full-length album for the group in 2000; featuring Andrew W.K. on keyboards, the project was unfortunately shelved. Guitarist Mark Morgan was to have joined TLASILA in 1999 (he finally made it through the gate in 2004, as did AWK), and was also erased from the line-up of Ohne prior to the launch of their 2002 European tour. (Nothing sinister, O sisters – jus pesky post 9/11 visa hassles.) The parties remained close, cordial. Flash forward to November 2003: Richard Hoffman, John Lockie, and the aforementioned Mr. Morgan convene with Mr. Smith at Sightings low-fi basement Brooklyn lair. TS records hours of material on his laptop, but levels are too high, the sound far too digital (i.e., retro). The best stuff emerges from Mr. Hoffmans four-track cassette recordings. Sightings cull their favorite tracks, and send mixes to Tom. TS tweaks everything for six months, and hands the package off to Rat Bastard (also of TLASILA) for mastering. Tom tweaks the mastered tracks for a few more weeks, and... It aint perfect, but considering who these dudes are, its plenty perfect enough for you." (100kr/€11)

SINKING STEPS... RISING EYES - MAJESTIC BLUE 2xLP    (discern direction)
"Sinking Steps... Rising Eyes present their long awaited debut full length, a collection of songs, it's more inline with a musical composition; with traces of their roots in hardcore. Clocking in at over 40 minutes, the album feels organic and life like, songs seem to have personality. Vocals are few but each song seems to speak volumes. The album is as brutal as it is serene, with comparisons to bands like Denali, (a less heavy) Isis, and the Black Heart Procession. The songs are crafted with guitar, bass, piano/keys, flute, melodica, vocals and drums." MP3 (150kr/€16)

SISSY SPACEK - DEVILS CONE AND PALM CD    (misanthropic agenda)
"Sissy Spacek's first album with a Jackson/Ronnau/Wiese line-up, produced from totally gutter sessions in Los Angeles and Oakland in 2005 and 2006. Includes the entire infamous Il Corral set as heard through the handheld tape deck of a screaming female audience member." MP3 (95kr/€10)

SISTER GWEN MCKAY - HANDJOB CD    (dual plover)
"Okay we all know there’s a precedent. The Jerky Boys putting on accents and savagely harassing hapless clerks, Neil Hamburger and Mike Patton getting some crank action going and more obscurely Savage Vigilance for a rug free America where a few folks tormented evangelist radio stations in the US. Hell even lame FM radio are doing it (albeit poorly) these days. So it’s not a new idea, but it’s damn funny. Sister Gwen McKay is an insane a Scottish nun and Nigel is a confused Indian gentleman attempting to come to grips with some specific English words and together with a few other alter egos they’re tormenting late night AM radio announcers in Sydney. 2GB gets a hammering and they deserve it because it’s incredible how rude and patronising those fuckers are. It works because the creator, whoever the hell he is clearly did a bit of research and delights in walking the tightrope of believability. It’s not all genius but even when it doesn’t seem to be working, it’s setting up material for a later joke. Sister Gwen’s three items for 45 cents speech is so funny I in all honestly almost crashed my car whilst listening. And it doesn’t matter how many times you hear it, it doesn’t get any easier to cope with." (60kr/€6.50)

SIXES - CURSED BEAST CD    (enterruption/troniks)
"The CD re-issue of the Highly-Acclaimed SIXES LP we released a few months back that sold out super-quickly. This is by far the baddest-ass of all SIXES material yet - yeah yeah yeah, every label thinks their SIXES release is the best, but here we're not lying: Originally to be called "The Beast", 2 years in the making, an 8-track reel-to-reel and a computer ruined twice, two teeth pulled and a resulting throat abscess requiring hospitalization in the interim. The frustrations and anger, the pain and set-backs all became hate:fuel for what was to become the "The Cursed Beast". Heavy rhythms, harsh swirling sounds, buried vocals seething in ugly, ruined and destroyed guitar wreckage and synth gnarl, structured and formed into arguably one of the best releases of 2006. Ever wonder what would've happened if Crash Worship ADRV had been influenced solely by Chrome, look no further. When we first received the material, intended for a cassette release, we knew it had to be to on vinyl. After releasing the vinyl we realized that this material was just too good to be limited to a mere 200x copies, Troniks was down for co-releasing it to CD and here we are. Packaged as a miniature version of the LP, ever so beautifully by the kind folks of Thingmakers: 3 color cover (black on gun-metal silver on gold on black) with mini-insert, each cover is slightly different in alignment (mimicing the screen-printed original). Edition 1000x." MP3 (70kr/€7.50)

SIXES - SUBMISSIONS 3" CD-R    (jyrk)
"Man.. one of the first times we rolled down to Oakland, we met up with this dude and his intensely dark steez.. Dude reminded me of my buddies up in Portland who had first told me about "The Temple," which Mr. Sixes calls home.. My friends told me that their show at "The Temple" was one of the most chaotic evenings of their band's career.. tons of smashed glass, fights.... debauch... A fierce mess.. When we finally got to SEE Sixes... or more importantly, when we moved to the bay and got to SEE Sixes a LOT, Dude was REPEATEDLY crushing.. on par with other westen freaks like Wiese and Gerritt.. totally gross intensity.. So.. we bug him to do a release.. and he takes his time.. but... now we're finally holding onto this SICK live recording of a set in Seattle from 2005.. It's perfect for JYRK too.. Totally a slow burner. you can't tell it's creeping up on you until it's too late...... edition of 200" (60kr/€6.50)

SIXTEENS - FENDI 12"    (hungry eye)
"hailing from san francisco, and on a similar trip as local friends the vanishing, the phantom limbs, or the holy kiss, sixteens perform a serious dance floor exorcism. treading the darker terrain of new wave and recalling the likes of the virgin prunes or tuxedo moon, they blare out an art-damaged electro replete with minimalist beats and eerie analog synthesizers. said deathrock.com 'the sixteens use lo-fi electronics and deliberate, drasticly simplistic beats to lay the foundation for grating keyboard feedback turned twisted-disco, serving up an un-nerving and alien soundscape.'" MP3 (70kr/€7.50)

THE SKULL DEFEKTS - MAGNETIC SKULLS & INTENSE SOUND STIMULATIONS LP    (conspiracy)
"The first steps into the surreal world that Skull Defekts creates is a step into a primeval swamp. The record starts with a buzz, like a swarm of insects, buzzing, drawn-out and impossible to escape from. Feedback merges with repetitive drone patterns, the result is a bleak, dungeonous and yet mesmerizingly appealing record. Skull Defekts on this record are Joachim Nordwall and Henrik Rylander. Recorded 2006 in Studio Dental, Gothenburg. Holy Magnetism." (150kr/€16)

THE SKULL DEFEKTS - INFEKTED SKULLS TAPE    (meudiademorte)
"Infekted skulls" it is a live recording from oslo with LASSE MARHAUG recorded at Chateau Neuf in Oslo. The Skull Defekts is a four-headed beast consiting of Henrik Rylander( ex- Union Carbide Productions), Joachim Nordwall (ex KID COMMANDO, ALVARS ORKESTER , THE IDEALIST and he is also doing the awesome label IDEAL RECORDINGS ), Eric Olofsson & Jean-Louis Huhta. You may meet the band in different shapes. You may be treated well. Limited to 100 copies with Screenprinted fold-in card sleeve." (50kr/€5.50)

SKULLFLOWER - ORANGE CANYON MIND CD    (crucial blast)
"The new full length from the legendary UK free/drone/psych outfit Skullflower, featuring some of the most searing, synapse scorching droneworks that Matthew Bower (the man behind Skullflower, as well as Sunroof!, Total, and The Hototogisu) has unleashed to date, in our humble opinion. Orange Canyon Mind is the follow up to 2002's awesome Exquisite Fucking Boredom (Tumult Records), and continues that albums utter mutation of stoned out riffs pulled taffy-like into eternity/oblivion and star-rupturing blasts of sonic white light. Over the 8 tracks/60 minute running time, Bower and cohorts build massive horizontal drones and melodic supernovas. Superb, beautiful, brain melting stuff." MP3 (95kr/€10)

SKULLFLOWER - TRIBULATION CD    (crucial blast)
"The new emission from the UK trance-noise legends SKULLFLOWER. A black-void beaming of utterly destroyed drone rock and crushing amplifier obliteration that rains down black ash and punishing blasts of feedback skree on the listener. A dynamic, bleary-eyed meditation. An avalanche of powerdrone that threatens to take your cranium apart and transport your grey matter into filthy new dimensions infested with melodic razor cuts and submerged mantras. A triumphant eruption of apocalyptic meta-metal and radioactive raga swarms, guaranteed to loosen eardrums. This album is one of the heaviest, harshest slabs of guitar armageddon from Matt Bower since the glory days of Total, and bridges the void between the krautrock/celestial free drone influence of the last few Skullflower albums, and the blackened molten death of his Mirag material." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

SLEEPING BABIES - BENEATH THE BLOOD MOON TAPE    (arbor)
"What is love? Love is… making eerie jams with your honey. This recently relocated BF/GF duo drop their first release on arbor. Creepy organ drones and hypo-hypnotic percussion carry your ears. Howls of a wolf in heat to the blood moon. Ritual dreams realized through vocal drones. Totally organic. Featuring members of Quilts. Limited to 50 numbered copies with art by the band and tapes salvaged from the swamp; stamped with a blood moon." MP3 (45kr/€5)

SMEGMA - BELGIUM/PORTLAND CD-R    (tanz procesz)
"The kings and queens of American free noise since 1973. Live tracks from their 2005 Belgian shows. Studio tracks recorded early 2006 in Portland. Handmade color packaging in recycled 7inch cover." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

SNACKTRUCK - HARPOON LP    (narshardaa)
"this fabulous and fucked up duo, matt truck and nate ropple (ultra dolphins!) hail from brooklyn and philadelphia. in the footsteps of contemporary experimentalists lightning bolt, mens recovery project and cromtech with a little steve albini and mike patton unruliness thrown into the mix, snacktruck continue to devestate the dancefloor/dance area with their infectious grooves, thunderous beats and squeling wall of guitar. after several totally ripping demos, a couple years of sporatic touring and guerilla shows, an honest full length documentation for these dudes is much deserved. the cd version of this record will be coming out on the fantastic the perpetual motion machine records label, who have worked with a lot of this great bands: circle takes the square, stop it!!, page 99 etc." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

SNOWBLOOD - BEING AND BECOMMING 2xLP    (super fi)
"The Scottish quartet's second release, and a quantum leap forward from their debut "The Human Tragedy". A full 68 minutes of epic Godspeed-esque build-ups with crushing Neurosis-style payoffs, with much more in the way of dynamics and a fluid flow between movements." MP3 (120kr/€12.50)

SOILED DOVES - SOILED LIFE LP     (gsl)
"seattle's soiled doves are history - although the group's brief existence in no way reflects its significance in the scheme of things... the band emerged in the late 1990's as new-wave upstarts the vogue, and by 2001 had mutated (or, rather, condensed) into the 4-piece soiled doves. three of the four doves were soon to be members of the critically-acclaimed chromatics, while vocalist johnny was on loan from local heroes the blood brothers (three one g, second nature). soiled doves released a single on arizona's collectable king of the monsters label, then ventured into seattle's paradox studio to record a full-length. before the album was finished, it was decided that the group would lay itself to rest - johnny's commitment to the brothers was compromising his time, and the band were eager to get on with touring, etc. so, after a single west coast tour in the summer of 2001, soiled doves called it a day." (70kr/€7.50)

SOMETREE - IRON & METAPHYSICS 7"    (art for blind)
"Berliners, Sometree play early 90's emotional indie, similar to bands such as the Appleseed Cast. This record features two previously new songs recorded at the same time as the Moleskine LP released on Magic Bullet/Pop U Loud in 2004." MP3 (30kr/€3.50)

SORCIER DES GLACES - MOONRISE IN TOTAL DARKNESS CD    (mankind's demise)
"A whirlwind of ice and darkness has just arrived through the land of mortals! The name of that new menace to mankind is “Moonrise in Total Darkness”, the lost and forgotten second album by nordic’s Sorcier Des Glaces. He first unleashed “Snowland” in 1997, a debut album full of wrath and primitive darkness. Two years later, he came back to record this second and unreleased-to-this-day album “Moonrise in Total Darkness”. Composed of 7 songs of pure misanthopy, this album will please any fanatic’s hunger for real atmospheres of cold primitive music..." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

SO SO MANY WHITE WHITE TIGERS PICTUREDISC LP    (weird forest)
"San Francisco-based rock band So So Many White White Tigers play bad-energy propulsive, off-timed noise skree with lots of ballsy guitar moves and dysfunctional vocal shrieks and squeals from Liza that are sure to sting and cause infection. Gerald lays waste to the drums and guitarist Ned positively shreds the strings. Garage-y punk and chunks of mammoth wall of noise, like if Harry Pussy made rock songs or something. Whatever it is one thing's for sure-something just ain't right with these kids, and So So Many White White Tigers were born to come to your town and freak you out. Recorded by Mr. Chris Woodhouse. Limited to 660 copies on kitty head collage picture discs." (120kr/€12.50)

SPACE IS NO PLACE VOL.2 - NYC: NOISE FROM THE UNDERGROUND CD    (psych-o-path)
"psych-o-path records is pleased to present volume two of its critically acclaimed compilation, space is no place - nyc: noise from the underground. whereas the first installment of space is no place focused on tweaked songforms by the likes of no-neck blues band, flaming fire, sightings and centuries, this companion volume is a mosaic of outward-bound instrumentals by some of new york city’s most forward-looking purveyors of noise and electronic music. across these twelve exclusive tracks a picture emerges of a heretofore undocumented layer of the new york underground, a non-place that comprises the electro-acoustic explorations of lucerne (collaboration of i-sound and daniel raffel), co-hosts of phonomena series @tonic nyc chuck bettis & toshio kajiwara, and masterminds behind brooklyn based apestaartje label aero & anderegg ; the doom drones of squaw; the tg-inspired menace of verbalala and tan as fuck; the interstellar discussions of beard-o (mouthus meet axolotl), mythical cocaine (members of sightings and exceptor) and chaw mank where ferocious sightings' rhythm section clashes with wall-of-noise guitar of brian sullivan from mouthus. volume 2 also features laptop terrorist, nyc russian art community's enfant terrible spaceman; the electronic brass alchemy of early psych-o-path tuba mirum; and the dub pastiche of jah division, whose treatment of 'isolation' must simply be heard to be believed. together, the two volumes of space is no place are vital documents of early twenty-first-century noise, a perfect field guide for those who wish to explore of the outer limits of new york’s contemporary music scene." SPARROWS, SWARM AND SING - O'SHENANDOAH, MIGHTY DEATH WILL FIND ME CD    (magic bullet)
"Coming off the heels of almost 4 months of studio sessions, SPARROWS SWARM AND SING have turned in their Magic Bullet Records' debut O'Shenandoah, Mighty Death Will Find Me. Clocking in at over 79 minutes spanning four robust movements, O'Shenandoah will no doubt prove to be one of the most uniquely dynamic and challenging "rock" albums you will ever purchase in your life." MP3 (100kr/€10.50)

SPARROWS, SWARM AND SING - UNTITLED 2 SPECIAL EDITION CD    (the perpetual motion machine)

SPAZMODICS - VERMIN PERM CD    (dual plover)
"Wrapped in another vibrantly printed photo-collage booklet (a Dual Plover trademark perhaps?) is this short and fragmented set of collaged pop songs. Over a base of looped percussion this appropriately named Sydney-based duo add real, sampled and digital sounds, often shifting from lo-fi to hi- fi (and back again) in mid-song. Audio bits fly in and out almost at random, and tracks shift gear as soon as a groove is introduced or spoken word sample deployed. Over the first half of the disc the cumulative effect is deranged and hallucinatory- more along the lines of what a glitchy Boredoms might do than any mash-up styled deconstruction of pop tunes. Midway through the disc the tunes begin to display a quieter gentler side to the Spazzmodics, interspersing welcome snippets of silence around the sonic bits- which are in this instance melodic and almost pretty. A twisted sense of humor is displayed throughout- though they never get too wacky for their own good. There is a great photo of the duo (on the Dual Plover site) performing live-, which makes me wonder what sort of show these two put on." MP3 (60kr/€6.50)

SPIRIT OF VERSAILLES - IN LINE FOR HALOS 7"    (forever escaping boredom)
"A limited repressing of The Spirit of Versailles' debut EP 400 on blue/white marbled vinyl." (40kr/€4.50)

STANDSTILL - THE LATEST KISS CDEP    (bcore)
"After the brilliantly successful 'The Ionic Spell' and 'Memories Collector', the ocasional sextet (after adding a saxophonist in the line-up in this recording) goes a little step further with these five acoustic songs, covering their own classics from a new, quieter point of view, or offering new tracks such as 'When the curtain falls' or 'Waiting for the panda'. Going acoustic here doesn't mean playing the same old songs in a quieter way; it means experimenting with instruments and ambients to create the same tension through different paths. 2 revisited songs from 'Memories Collector', one from 'The ionic spell' and 2 previously unreleased tracks from a band that refuses to conform." MP3 (55kr/€6)

STANDSTILL - MEMORIES COLLECTOR CD    (bcore)
"We had so many expectations concerning the new Standstill album after the successful 'The Ionic Spell' (BCore, 2001), and the truth is that they've gone far better than we could have thought. They once started with a peculiar vision of screaming emo, that lately evolved into intelligent post-hardcore, and nowadays they are a complete, mature and aggressive perfect-song-builders and players. Rich sounds by strings and trumpets, xilophones, samplers and Rolands and, of course, loads of rocking guts. A trip into experimental song construction going from the sweetest atmospheres to the most agressive state of crazyness. Music understood as art with a brilliant and creative layout. Pay attention to the short film included in this enhanced CD and discover what they have to say... Congratulations for such a mighty album!" MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

STARS OF THE DOGON CD    (self released)
"Stars of the Dogon are a two piece from Baltimore who play heavy rock. Stars of the dogon perform with a massive stack of amps (at least 10) for the guitarist, a pile of pedals, and a drummer with a microphone headset. They have toured the states twice. Sonically this will appeal to fans of enemy mine, god head silo, hammerhead (the old am rep band), early helmet and vaz." (80kr/€8.50)

THE STARVATIONS - ONE WAY TO REMIND 7"    (gsl)
"the starvations return to GSL with two brand new songs of whiskey-stained punk blues, 'one way to remind' c/w 'give me the keys'. recorded in l.a. during winter 2003-04, the single is a fitting follow up to last year's get well soon album, not to mention a teaser for the next (tentatively slated for fall 2004). often described as a cross between the pogues and the gun club, the starvations ignore trends and gimmickry and prove that the dark heart of the human condition never goes out of style." (40kr/€4.50)

STELLADRINE - YOU´LL NEVER SEE THE WORLD AGAIN CD    (mechanoise labs)
"There is a reason that the 50's are referred to as science fiction's Golden Age on the silver screen. After all, what other era has so prominently featured such a vast bestiary of mad scientists, bug-faced monsters and fearsome aliens? It was a time when inversing polarities and shutting down generators were all the rage, and square-jawed heroes in jumpsuits led the way across the unknown. A time when science was alternatively mankind's ultimate salvation or its impending doom. A time when the future meant something. "You'll Never See Your World Again" is a sonic journey to this future. Theremins whistle and sing, electronic equipment bleeps away and rocket engines whir in this exploration of what lies beyond the blackened expanses of space. In this case it happens to be fifty minutes of melodic cosmic ambient, catchy lunar beats and space-age guitar ballads, and that's without even mentioning the manic robo-surf rock of the second track. Gorgeously adorned by STPo's colorful artwork, this is an invitation to all adventurous cadets out there." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

STONE BREATH - THE LONG LOST FRIEND: A PATCHWORK CD    (perun)
"Stone Breath's history leads one through a overgrown and sometimes difficult forest path. From the Syd Barrett-meets-Donovan acid delicacy of the first album, 'Songs of Moonlight and Rain'; to the shaded leaves of the second album, 'A Silver Thread to Weave the Seasons'; through the mystical folk of the third, 'Lanterna Lucis Viriditatis'; to the COB-like Middle Eastern-meets-Appalachia darkness of their fourth, 'The Silver Skein Unwound'. Sometimes quiet and sparse, sometimes with earthen, thick, tangled drones, Stone Breath has been singing their songs to God and the Green Wood since 1995. Besides their four albums, they have also recorded a number of eps, unreleased songs, compilation tracks, live appearances, and cover songs. The best of this non-album material from the years 1995-2002 is compiled here. 'The Long Lost Friend: a patchwork' is divided into three parts. The first, 'Stones Breathed,' are original songs which never made it onto albums. These include an unreleased track from a deleted 1995 cassette; songs from vinyl eps; and songs from compilations. The second part, 'Stones Gathered,' are all cover songs including pieces written by Syd Barrett, Clive Palmer, Donovan, Pailhead and more. The third part, 'Stones Cast,' is a live-on-air broadcast recorded in 2002 at WMBR in Boston capturing the band in performing 2 originals and the traditional favorite, 'House Carpenter'. Stone Breath began with Timothy the Revelator in 1995, with help of his wife, Alison. Prydwyn joined in 1997. Sarada joined in 1999. Stone Breath also employs the occasional help of: RA Campbell (Spiritloop) and Erik Wivinus (Skye Klad, Salamander, Barlow/Petersen/Wivinus) and on these recordings are further augmented by: Matt Zaun." STRANGULATED BEATOFFS - JACKIN OFF WITH JACKO 7"    (apop)

STRIKEFORCE DIABLO - THE ALBATROSS AND THE ARCHITECT LP    (no idea)
"Huge drums, thundering bass, sizzling guitars, and soaring vocals! SD create amazing songs, both primally pounding and intellectually explosive! The rhythm section locks into a hard and tight groove: guitars hinting and glinting, then the entire song opens up like a landslide! Prepare to be amazed! (with Matt from True North and Drew from the most recent incarnation of Floor!)" MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

SUBMERGE LP    (abstraction/destructure)
"SUBMERGE started in 1998 as a 5 people band, an all friends band that wanted to have fun touring and also voicing opinions through music. From the beginning Submerge played DIY shows, not because they were rookies or something, but because they despise competition and they feel there's much more to share within the DIY scene, even in the gossipy lil' French one. Influences came from Iron Maiden to Converge, Catharsis, Rubbish Heap, Nostromo, Ananda, Knut. After 2 years of amazing (and sometimes shitty!) shows, the band split up for personal reasons and get back a year later as a quatuor and with a much stronger identity. Punk roots, sludgy sound, technical drumming, ingredients that allows the music not to get boring too fast. The lp contains 8 songs recorded in fall 2005 and mixed in early 2006. The artwork has been made by Oli from Ttdmrt and the lp comes with a poster by Mike Bukowski." (80kr/€8.50)

SUPERSYSTEM - BORN INTO THE WORLD/DEFCON 12"    (touch and go)
"With addition of a new member and a pending legal mess, El Guapo makes it's return as Superstystem (they never really liked El Guapo anyways). This vinyl only 12" is a double ?A' side taste of what Supersystem will unleash on their upcoming full-length, their first in 2 years. The NY/DC quartet has been in the lab with a pen and a pad perfecting its unique fusion of Ethiopiques worldbeat, post-Kraftwerk synth pop, and brash Pixies attitude. Wow!" (80kr/€8.50)

SWANN DANGER 10"    (release the bats!)
swann danger is an oakland, california based band that includes andy zevallos on bass, samples, and drum machine and cynthia mansourian on guitars and vocals. this 5 song debut was recorded with dan rathbun at polymorph in oakland (dead and gone, heart of snow, his hero is gone, the vanishing, the phantom limbs). both cynthia and andy were members of the band heart of snow, which put out an ep on GSL before breaking up in early 2002. swann danger is doing pretty much the same thing, just better! slow, dark and claustrophobic songs, somewhat reminiscent of bands like xmal deutschland and mid era siouxsie and the banshees. 5 songs in about 24 minutes. laminated covers and thick white vinyl. MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

SWARRRM/DIMLAIA 10"    (super fi)
"one long track by dimlaia from the states. dimlaia produce music that is dark and depressing with soothing melodies and gloomy soundscapes. swarrrm give us three new chaos grind outbursts. they do not need any comparison. carl auge of his hero is gone and now playing bass in dimlaia has painstakingly produced all the artwork for the record. all copies come in solid white vinyl and beautiful gatefold jackets." (80kr/€8.50)

SWARRRM PICTUREDISC 7"    (crucificados)
"all those who savor extreme hardcore should go out of their way to check this outstanding japanese band out .. though they are often tagged as grind to simply call them that would be doing swarrrm a great disservice .. i would say that they nicely occupy the area between discordance axis and envy .. swarrrm are one of japans leading underground purveyors .. incongruous insanity assails the listener .. their music is pure intensity .. swarrrm do play it very hard and very fast but it is hardly a straightforward blast fest .. the sheer level of invention is overwhelming .. they have a lot of releases under their belt among others on labels like hgfact relapse as well mcr japan .. it is the 2nd cooperation between crucificados and swarrrm after the narcosis/swarrrm 7inch which was released one year ago .. the artwork was drawn by masahiko ohno and looks brilliant" (50kr/€5.50)

SWEETNESS WILL OVERCOME COMPILATION CD    (segerhuva)
"Here it is: the first Segerhuva compilation, a massive 74-minute budget priced CD with a 20-page booklet in jewelcase. The CD is filled from beginning to end with a strong and exciting line-up of both well known and newer groups, mainly from Sweden, but also with contributions from Finland and Japan. We are thrilled to be able to present a solid mix of sounds, from the most punishing ultra-harsh electronics, via the primitively thuggish all the way to the cocktail-sipping arty. Yes, we have room for all -- please join the party. "Sweetness Will Overcome" features a wide range of artists making it a diverse and interesting affair. Our tribute to a stagnating but in a strange sense healthy scene! Without further preaching: all tracks are new and exclusively recorded for this compilation, all served with pleasure and pain. Contributing artists: Sewer Election, Koeff, Skin Area, Mnem, Jarl, Moljebka Pvlse, Institut, Government Alpha, Sharon's Last Party, Treriksrøset, IRM, Ochu, Martin Bladh, Irgun Z'wai Leumi, Barrikad and Blod." MP3 (sewer election) (100kr/€11)

TAINT - THE RUIN OF NOVA ROMA 2xLP    (super fi)
"We're honoured to be doing the vinyl version (after the CD on Rise Above Records) of this already classic album. After 10 years, Taint truly have found a unique sound within the UK scene, and indeed the world, with their blend of heavy stoner riffing and forward-thinking post-hardcore. Double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve." MP3 (120kr/€12.50)

TAR... FEATHERS - MAKE WAY FOR THE OCEAN FLOOR TO FALL TO THE SURFACE CD    (release the bats!)
"Tar... Feathers are from Göteborg, Sweden, and consists of the Release The Bats-hangaround and dear friend Marcus Nyke. Last summer he put out a limited cd-r release that circulated in the town for a while and created quite a buzz among the lucky ones. What first was supposed to be released as a cdep quickly turned in to a full album and here it is: Make Way For The Ocean Floor To Fall To The Surface! The album consists of 10 well-crafted songs with a wonderful vibe of lo-fi and d.i.y aesthetics. The sound can easily be compared with some of the best stuff from the K Records bands (think early Modest Mouse and maybe some Beat Happening), take that whole sound and mix it up with some Joan Of Arc, Owls and all those bands. Add some hints of The Head On The Door-era The Cure to that and you may be close! Marcus handles all the main duties but gets lots of help from a bunch of friends and collaborators (people from Chronic Heist, I Am The Sanctuary, Close Your Eyes And Think Of England and Audrey). Most parts recorded in a small attic on a island on the Swedish east coast during last autumn/winter and then finalized in Stockholm early ´06. Probably the most melancholic and gloomy record we have put out so far but in some weird way this is still music that manages to make you very happy in the end." MP3 (100kr/€10.50)

TAR... FEATHERS - MAKE WAY FOR THE OCEAN FLOOR TO FALL TO THE SURFACE LP    (adagio 830)

TAR PET - THE ARTIST REVEALED IS TARALIE DAWN LP    (eclipse)
"Brand new on Eclipse subsidiary Galactic Zoo Disc, Tar Pet is the solo guise of Taralie Dawn, a member of the hysterical Comus/Manson girls-inspired acid folk cabal, Spires That In The Sunset Rise. The Artist Revealed Is Taralie Dawn has been kicking about for a few years as a privately-distributed CD-R and everyone who heard that particular version was floored. So this beautiful vinyl version is a real public service. The atmosphere is bit more internal than the Spires’ album but it’s just as ancient and disturbed sounding, working weird sepia-tinged moments of occult flux into murky, rust-caked ballads and spiritualist ritual. The more percussive tracks sound as if they’re played by a company of lost, faceless children, while the vocals have all the dislocated aspect of a broadcast from out of the ether. This is a beautiful one-off, for fans of Dame Darcy, Josephine Foster, Marissa Nadler, Squeaky Fromme and Madame Blavatsky." (120kr/€12.50)

TAARMA - REMANTS OF A TORMENTING BLACK SHADOW CD    (suffering jesus)
"Suffocating and Rueful Afghan Black Metal limited to 1000 units. The Project Taarma (Black Emperor Jogezai) comes from the vast mountainious reigon of Balochistan of Afghanistan, a land unfamiliar to the hateful sounds of the genre. The Black Howling Voices from Afghan/Balochistan is produced by a single person, the Black Emperor Jogezai." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

TENDER BUTTONS - YOU´VE DONE IT NOW, YOU´VE GOT IT NOW CD    (deathbombarc)
"playfully dubbed 'no romantic', tender buttons don’t fall into the fashionable trappings of the kitsch-riddled electroclash scene. nor do they produce the specialized opaque noise of current electro experimentalists following in the footsteps of throbbing gristle and merzbow. tender buttons emerge somewhere in between and move further ahead with a blend of post-future shocked synthpunk that is as melodically adventurous as it is sonically aggressive. the songs are manic mini-tragedies for an empire that doesn’t know it has died and whose virtual borders still overflow with young souls struggling to survive it. this is the score to a film from a lost book of short stories by phillip k. dick directed by david lynch over a decade from now. tender buttons are more than just the sound of tomorrow today; this is the sound of what it is to still be barely human... features 2 members of gold standard laboratories recording artists kill me tomorrow." MP3 (40kr/€4.50)

TENT CITY - CASCADE TRINKETS CD-R    (night people)
"Tent City are a band of Arizona desert punks, who create organic improvised sets and compositions. Cascade trinkets breaths out some Don Cherry like world jazz fusion, while remaining folky, focused and tight. These 3 tracks move along smooth with a meaty percussive underbelly, and melodic sax lines that bring everything present into focus, reflecting the kind of beautifully dry and sandy cactus country you would envision Tent City living in. Gilgongorecords.com/tentcity" (60kr/€6.50)

TERRESTRIAL TONES - BLASTED CD    (psych o path)
"Terrestrial Tones is the home recorded project of roommates Dave Portner (Avey Tare of Animal Collective) and Eric Copeland of Black Dice, published by an emerging label in the underground noise scene, Psych-o-Path records. Blasted, their debut record combines a creepy parade of burlesque musicalia with the underwater travels of a submarine 20,000 leagues under the sea. Deep almost unrecognizable vocals hidden in layers of sub-bass warbles are reminiscent of work on the Charhizma Label, particularly Christof Kurzmann and his collaborations with Dafeldecker and dieb13. Likewise there are nods to the diverse almost pop-twitch of Dat Politics and the polyrhythmic patterns of the Basic Channel/Chain Reaction projects. It's a dance music record (microtonal future extremely abstract dance) for people who like to wiggle to shoes tumbling in washing machines with monkey cymbals and puppet shows. It is serious yet unpretentious, even whimsical, and will appeal to fans of experimental electronics, IDM, Throbbing Gristle and related, the drones and squeals of Black Dice and the nouveau pop psychedelia of Animal Collective." (100kr/€10.50)

THE THIRD MEMORY CD    (tears from silence)
"The Third Memory’s debut cd is eleven tracks of French emo. French emoviolence with a huge handful of melodies, think La Quiete and Tristan Tzara mixed with some old-style emotional moments and, they rock like hell." MP3 (95kr/€10)

THIS BIKE IS A PIPE BOMB - THREE WAY TIE FOR A FIFTH LP    (no idea)

TIME AND RELATIVE DIMENSIONS IN SPACE CD    (rebis)
"Includes exclusive tracks from Taurpis Tula (Lonely Woman), My Cat Is An Alien (Alien Substratum 1.0/1.2), The Skaters (Fleeing Pavilions For Celestial Clouds), Number None (The Pole I’m Furthest From) and Jim Haynes (A Sense Of Levitation’). “Rebis is a new label out of Chicago run by the folks from the group, Number None, and this compilation is one of two new CD releases the imprint is offering up to kick off their existence. "Time & Relative Dimensions in Space" is a sprawling disc featuring long-form performances from a handful of Foxy Digitalis favourites: Number None, Jim Haynes, The Skaters, My Cat is an Alien, and Taurpis Tula. That's an impressive line-up, to say the least, but even more impressive is the quality performances each artist delivers… The combination of artists and track sequencing are near-perfect, and with the closing moments of "Lonely Woman," I am ready to press play again. Recommended.” Brad Rose, Foxy Digitalis" (120kr/€12.50)

TIMES ARE HARD FOR DREAMERS COMPILATION CD     (waking)

(90kr/€9.50)

TIVOL - INTERSTELLAR BIKE CD    (last visible dog)
"Finland's Tivol might be one of the best kept secrets on the Nordic peninsula. These psychedelic monsters remind me a lot of another great Finnish psych-rock band, Pharaoh Overlord. I can't sit still. Few bands have the energy and exuberance as Finnish kraut kings Tivol. Their previous outings have been bombastic sonic nightmares, and "Interstellar Overbike" is no exception. Over the course of the album, Tivol shed their skin and howl at the moon. Guitar, bass, drums, and vocals are the weapons of choice here, but this is music that is totally drenched in space debris. This is a monolithic journey that will inject caffeine directly into your pulsating veins. It makes you just want to get up and shake your ass and run a million fucking millions to the nearest star. No band emits this kind of radiation like Tivol does. They are the absolute best and one of Finland's most overlooked gems. It's a goddamn shame, too, because this is the kind of aural mindfuck that will put a smile on anyone's face and make you feel like you've just met God. Hail Tivol! Hail!-" Brad Rose (foxy digitalis) MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

TJOLGTJAR - FIVE TJOLGTJARIAN KEYS CD    (suffering jesus)
"A couple of weeks ago, we were buggin'over the inter-dimensional, classic rock-tinged black metal of one-man band Tjolgtjar (pronounced "Toll-Tar") and his latest full length The Tjolgtjarian Mass on Baphomet. That disc unleashed a savage, thrashy, ultra lo-fi BM assault with over-the-top croaking vocals, weird keyboard effects, bizarre stumbling riffs, primitive hard rock drumming and sloppy blastbeats, and awesome, what-the-fuck blasts of LSD-soaked 70's hard rock guitar solos and detours into classic acoustic country rock instrumentals. In addition, Tjolgtjar's psychedelic Midwestern black metal is entrenched in a weird occult religion that was created by the man behind Tjolgtjar, Reverend JR Preston, which finds him writing lyrics and song titles in the made-up language of an ancient race of creatures called, you guessed it, the Tjolgtjarians. Utterly weird and quasi-conceptual sci-fi/satanic/drug feast action. We've been jamming that album non-stop, and it seems like the Tjolgtjar cult continues to grow; there is word of more new albums to be released on Baphomet Records, and now we have what will hopefully be an ongoing series of CDs on the Suffering Jesus label that documents Tjolgtjar's various demo/tape releases, starting with Five Tjolgtjarian Keys." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

Classical old-school British Industrial." MP3 (95kr/€10)

TORNAVALANCHE - NO MONEY, NO PROBLEMS CD    (level plane)
"Ooops, they did it again! It seems that TORNAVALANCHE has once again struck paydirt with their newest e.p. "No Money, No Problems", a split release with init records and level plane. The double drummer action of TORNAVALANCHE, sets a furious pace that the guitar players can barely keep up with. (That's right, not only do they have two drummers, they have two guitar players, three if you count the bass as a guitar.) At times TORNAVALANCHE'S "No Money, No Problems" seems slightly derivative of TEN GRAND or FORSTELLA FORD, but evidently members of TORNAVALANCHE did session work with these bands in the late 90's and in to this century. "No Money, No Problems" sets a gold standard for the 2006 hardcore/indie/noise/double drummer genre, and considering the impending bull market in gold, you would be very wise to purchase multiple copies of this album." MP3 (70kr/€7.50)

TORU OKADA LP    (shock value)
"Brand new LP from Texas' Toru Okada. Seven heartfelt songs about friends, love, and hardcore packed into a sixteen page booklet with pictures, lyrics, and writings. Early 90's emo-core style with melody and singing turning to crashing guitars and scream-a-longs comparable to In loving memory, Kite Flying Society, and Portrait. Full color jackets with artwork from the soon-to-be-infamous Daniel Danger." MP3 (95kr/€10)

TOTAL SHUTDOWN - THE MESSIAH WILL NOT COME... CD    (tigerbeat6)
"san francisco noise metal dive bomber jazz aggressors total shutdown is a 5 piece bass guitar keyboard sax drummer screecher band that flails about, stopping, starting, with their minute-long, tantrum-like songs. think weirdo deconstructos like monorchid with short attention spans. the band likes to fancy themselves as bernard stoltzmen's (esp-disk domo) mohawked other brother. this is fulllength #2 for them." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

TOTAL SLITTING OF THROATS CD    (troniks/pacrec)
"Powerful minimalist deconstruction of the harsh noise object. An HNW audible manifesto feturing The Cherry Point, Mania, The Rita, Sewer Election, Treriksröset." (60kr/€6.50)

TOTIMOSHI - LADRON CD    (crucial blast)
"The fourth album from TOTIMOSHI, Ladron is a complete and focused body of work that has all of the elements that make this Oakland, CA based trio so enigmatic: slabs of crushing metered riffing and joyously ecstatic sludge oozing from the band's instruments, sunbaked vocal harmonies and flourishes of pure pop melodicism, bursts of old-school heavy metal energy, shadows of dusty blues and western music, riff-tastic instrumental rave-ups, squalls of immolating guitar noise, and smoldering post-punk dynamics clad in serious heaviness. TOTIMOSHI's distinctively elephantine rock grips the listener in the power of the big riff and saw-toothed hooks as it reconciles MELVINS/HIGH ON FIRE/KARP crush with pop and psychedelia, bolstered by powerful production courtesy of HELMET's Page Hamilton." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

TOXIC LIPSTICK - PRISONER OF HORMONES CD    (dual plover)
"Toxic Lipstick are 2 14 yr old hotties dropping the bass and breaking hearts in sunny Brisbane, Australia. When they`re not smoking batteries behind the local bikerax they`re changing lives with self-proclaimed hits such as `peakin... with control` and `put it in`. With shining eyes and glossy coats these teen skanks aren`t afraid to throw lips to the shit that really matters- ponies, boys, puberty, shafting acid and hosting exclusive popcorn sleepovers. A triple combo of dope beats, dope rhymes and dope rax with xtra fries, Toxic Lipstick are Australia`s most bitchin whorecore duo eva. They will shit in yr mouth, spew in yr undies and give yr pony the finest grooming she`s eva had. After selling panadol to ravers to fund their first album `When the Dove`s Cry` the girls are at it again this time unleashing their difficult second album on legendary imprint dualpLOVERrecords. Ultimately this new opus in pre-teenism shows that ‘Doves? their first offering was merely spottingcompared to the heavy menstrual flow on the new album ‘Prisoner ofhormones?." MP3 (60kr/€6.50)

TRAKTOR - VULTURES 7"    (cut n paste)
"Traktor was formed in Eskilstuna, Sweden in the beginning of the year 2002 by the three steady members David, Rickard and Fredrik. The goal was to create groovy San Diego rock with lots of crazy riffs. The lineup was drums, bass, guitar and two voices. The band began to write songs and recorded a six track demo, which after a lot of hassle with different small labels was released as a seven inch record by German label My Favorite Toy and later also by English label Art For Blind. This recording took place in the Swedish town of Uppsala in Studio EAR with Carl Vikman (Seven feet four, Switchblade, Soviac, the Price of ink etc). Traktor made their stage debut in their hometown at the end of the summer of 2002, the debut was followed by lots of gigs all over the country while they were working on new material. In the spring of 2003 they went to Studio EAR once again to record six new songs, which later resulted in an s/t cd ep on My Favorite Toy. The speed and the playfulness from the first recording were still there but it was a new and more dynamic Traktor that ended up on tape. Throughout 2003 the band started to work on new songs for a full-length album. During the summer of 2004 the recording evolved, as usual together with Carl Vikman in studio EAR. 13 songs were captured on tape. The sound was now a bit more mature but the trademark Traktor noise was still there. Among the band's influences could bands like Blood Brothers and Shellac together with tons more be mentioned. Another 2 tours took place in 2005. One around Germany and another close to Sweden. In the end of 2005 Georgios made his entrance as a second guitarist. The sound now got larger and also the possibilities for more of the good. The live performance also got a real boost, with four guys to watch instead of three. The "lights" album was released in February 2006 and was followed up by a one-month tour in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France and the Netherlands. After the tour Traktor has played some various shows in Sweden and recorded some songs for a 7"(released in summer -06 on Cut 'n Paste Records) but mostly concentrated in writing new songs for the upcoming fullength album." TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR - ERASE ALL NAME AND LIKENESS CD    (level plane)
"Since 2001 Transistor Transistor has been touring relentlessly and releasing various EP's demonstrating a love affair with loud and aggressive rock music. At the beginning of 2004 though, Transistor Transistor found themselves at the end of a 5 week European tour and down two members. Instead of closing up shop like so many of their peers, Transistor Transistor found countless reasons to press on, and reinvent themselves. Almost immediately James Moller and Brad Wallace, who played in Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth, and Wolves, were added to the line-up. Wallace and Moller both being long time friends of the band synched up perfectly and sparks were flying from the first practice. Not a step was lost and the band had every reason to think big and begin writing new songs, demonstrating this new found chemistry. Transistor Transistor effectively locked themselves in a practice space for the next 7 months, working harder and being more critical of themselves than ever before. Erase All name and Likeness is the result of a labor of love, and of a band ready to take a look at its core song writing values and explode them in every direction possible. Fans of the band will find Transistor Transistor to still be in love with loud driving rock songs, but will find these new songs to be heavier, more complex, and more dynamic then any previous releases. They will also find Transistor Transistor stepping out of their previously defined boundaries and exercising some post-rock leanings indicative of a band not afraid to evolve. Lyrically and thematically focused on issues of identity and presentation, Erase All Name and Likeness is a passionate display of loud music finding a new voice. Whether it be the familiar stylings of the 90 second "Sweet William" or the 13+ minute "A sinking Ship full of Optimist" fans old and new will find something to bang their heads to." TREETOPS - SANDY FLOORS 3" CD-R    (arbor)
"suburban boredom and weeks waiting for compilation submissions were the main factors for this albums conception. armed with a guitar autographed by "the" bruce springsteen, a synthesizer, drums, and a four track, a kid sat down at a desk and began to record sounds. he wished that his friends could be there so that he didnt have to do everything, by himself, but they live in the city and wouldnt hop on a metra train to get out to him. this is a tribal entry into suburbia. when all the kids were getting guitar lessons, a young treetops was busy jamming screwdrivers into the fret board like thurston moore. forest drones from the basement. field recordings from the park. vocal damage and keyboard waltz. what album would be complete without cynical song titles to make you "LOL"? limited to 50 copies, comes mounted on cardboard with the treetops logo stencil'd on the front." MP3 (45kr/€5)

TRENCHER/LOALOA CD    (retrotrasher)
"Trencher is a trio from London. Probably, you know them. They play chaotic grind/powerviolence with casio. This stuff was Peel Session on BBC. It was also released on vinyl with Esquilax 10", but our release of Trencher is remastered and it's CD. LoaLoa is a band from Moscow. This stuff is something between XBXRX and AnAlbatross. + stage comedy + bonus acoustic ballad." (60kr/€6.50)

TRENCHER/CUTTING PINK WITH KNIVES 5"    (life in a box)
"trencher return with yet another ludicrous 5", this time doing 3 covers breathing new life into the exorcist, as well as paying homage to godheadsilo and napalm death. london's cutting pink with knives showcase 3 tracks of their snotty headache-inducing digital emogrindcore that will delight and appall in equal measure. the artwork for this has to be seen to be believed." MP3 (TRENCHER) (45kr/€5)

TRENCHER/ESQULIAX SPLIT 10"    (crucificados)
"so here is another trencher record for all the diehard fans out there .. this time it is a split 10" with esquilax .. the record features the tracks from their famed peel session for radio 1 which was first broadcasted a year or so ago .. 7 new crushing casio grind tracks by trencher which many consider to be their finest work .. esquilax are birmingham, uk based and flit between a two piece full on drone act to a three man digital grind assault ala agoraphobic nosebleed or gigantic brain .. amazing band .. 15 songs by esquilax .. all copies come on split colored black/clear vinyl .. cover has an silver shining printing on matt black cardboard .. artwork looks awesome." MP3 (TRENCHER) (50kr/€5.50)

TRISTAN TZARA 7"    (shove)
"The last recordings of these epic screamo dudes. People from louise cyphre and kobra khan with fun for mostly heavy mid tempo high screamed emo chaos!" (40kr/€4.50)

T TAURI - INFINITE MOTION CD    (strictly amateur films)
"T-Tauri was alive for six years, two years in Colorado and four in Los Angeles. By the time they were in Los Angeles, the guitar, bass, and drums trio gained a love of sludge. They dove deeper into the pit of despair, away from the surface light of spastic hardcore leaving a trail of honest horror and apparitions of their former selves. These antics were heart pounding with a ravenous lust for expressionist, tragic, tribal terror. The last recording was self-financed in a desperate attempt to preserve the final work of the band and was never released until now. Members now play in Black Dice and Peppermints." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

TU M' - JUST ONE NIGHT CD    (dekorder)
"Tu m' is a duo from Città Sant' Angelo, a small village in central Italy. Emiliano Romanelli and Rossano Polidoro have started Tu m' in 1998 (named after Marcel Duchamp's last painting) and since then released several critically acclaimed records on labels such as Phtalo, ERS/Staalplaat, Fällt, Aesova and BOXmedia. They have recently started Steno with Frank Metzger of Oval (debut LP coming soon on the En/Of label). They have collaborated with Steve Roden for an album release on Rossbin and are currently working with Simon Fisher Turner on some new tracks to be included on his forthcoming album on Mute Records. Additionally they run the CD-label Mr. Mutt (another Duchamp reference) and curate the MP3-label Tu M'p3 releasing Soundtracks to webcam pictures by a diverse range of artists such as Donna Summer, Dälek, Chris Cutler, Noel Akchote, Farmers Manual, Voice Crack, Alan Licht, David Grubbs and Dekorder artists such as Voks, Un Caddie Renversé dans l'Herbe and Black to Comm. Their new album titled "Just One Night" still contains their trademark improvisations on guitars, alto sax, flutes, toy keyboards, alto flugelhorn, percussion, harmonica, etc. looped, processed and edited into compositions, combined with field recordings and the odd vinyl sample used occassionally. These raw materials are sculpted into beautifully melancholic songs all dealing with the "night" theme, making this their most coherent album yet. The album has been mastered by Marcus Schmickler (Pluramon, MIMEO, etc.). A new track by Tu m' has appeared on the latest Wire Tapper compilation. www.tu-m.com "Just One Night" is possibly their most coherent release so far ... an elliptical, wistful, immmaculate collection of sonic fragments held in beautiful, unresolved suspension. - The Wire." TURNER CODY - THE GREAT MIGRATION LP    (mad monk)
“Turner has been kicking around the NYC folk scene for quite a few years now, but this is, perhaps inexplicably, his first foray onto wax. While most ‘singer / songwriters’ these days seem to draw most of their water from Iron and Wine via Pavement and back again, Turner sounds like he began his musical education listening to Gershwin player piano rolls and quit buying records somewhere around the time Dylan brought it all back home. Lyrically, Turner can turn a phrase with the best of ‘em, and the gloriously ramshackle accompaniment is Mungo Jerry meets Herman Dune sharing a squat in Tin Pan Alley. This LP combines two of Turner’s self-released CDs, and is as good an introduction to his wonderful music as any. Here’s what Jeweled Antler head honcho Glenn Donaldson sez about Turner: "Cody is pre-war, Old Testament & A Confederate General from Big Sur." Err…nuff said, no?” –James Toth. (140kr/€15)

TUSK MAMMOTH - ASPHYXIATE/SECRETE CD-R    (snip snip)
"dark, grime-encrusted harsh noise... also: track on the on not not fun free beasts tape comp, splits with wether and josh lay (of cadaver in drag)." (40kr/€4.50)

UBER - MY NEW LIFESTYLE CD    (holidays)
"Uber’s music approach is a reaction to the corvervative and provincial Tuscany. They confess different musical influences: Van Pelt, Fall, Joan of Arc, Gastr del Sol, Storm & Stress, Captain Beefheart and so on. 12 electric songs based on guitars interlacing and obsessive loops. Essential forms and repeating melodies." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

ULTRA DOLPHINS - WHY ARE YOU LAUGH CD    (robotic empire)
"The first 'formal' creations by the mighty rock beast known only as ULTRA DOLPHINS finally surfaces on this collections disc. Aptly named "Why Are You Laugh" for the trio's commitment to confusing/bold songwriting, disorienting hooks and quirky riffs, this collection of songs pushes the limits of touchy genres like "math rock" and "post hardcore." But the undeniable catchiness and underlying punk-rock spirit make it far more difficult to categorize. Basically it's wailing guitars, manic vocals, and a skin-tight rhythm section holding down the general headbang-ability fused with a spirit of playfulness and all-out weirdness... maybe try to image Captain Beefheart slaying Drive Like Jehu. Yes it's been said before, but to us this inability to define in words is a good thing... a true sign of innovation and interesting songwriting that won't just be another fast "flavor of the month" type of band that far too many now strive for in this strange and changing world of underground music. This six-track, 24-minute collection is an exciting exception to the mass-movements of the indie underground... three guys playing fierce and incredibly passionate rock music. The bulk of the material was recorded at Inner Ear studios in Washington, DC (Fugazi, Minor Threat, The Monorchid, Rites of Spring) and one track at the Recorditorium in Richmond, VA (Stop It!!, VCR, Wow Owls!) then meticulously re-mastered at Silver Sonya (Shudder to Think, Q and Not U) so you know that every song oozes with high intensity production. This collection will definitely appeal to a variety of fans, including those fond of Shellac, Drive Like Jehu, The Boredoms, Fugazi, Led Zeppelin, Frodus, The Jesus Lizard, Majority Rule, Rodan and Black Sabbath." (100kr/€10.50)

UMBRELLA/EVERY KID LOVES A CLOWN PICTUREDISC LP    (crucificados)
"umbrella comes from the states .. this band is just crazy .. they play this fast manic and chaotic grind thats reminiscent of bands like as the sun sets or the daughters .. a seamless marriage of manic ferocity and indescribable density .. these songs combine so much so quickly that it is almost dizzying .. but they somehow manage to hold it all together and still take it way up a notch .. flawlessly combining thunderous drums with inhumanly fast blasts squealing highpitched guitars and absolutely manic screams to create a new form of heavy music that is simply beyond description. .. hell on earth what shall i say about every kid loves a clown .. can hardly describe how good they are .. combination of metal grind free jazz electronics and pure melody make up the bulk of their songs .. they have matured and come into a sound all their own .. a sound which is as unpredictable as it is intense .. xylophones electronic drums and synthesizers are also a staple of this release .. once again proving that every kid loves a clown are not traditional in anyway .. ex members of the avenging disco godfathers of soul .. it sounds like a consistent further development of tadgos .. you will love them" (50kr/€5.50)

UN CADDIE RENVERSE DANS L'HERBE - ATLAS SALTA (MAP LIES, BORDER LIES...) 3" CD    (dekorder)
"On his third release for Dekorder Didac Lagarriga is opening his sound towards a more open, less formal and repetitive style, mixing field recordings, instruments from Africa and South East Asia and surreal voices into a floating freeform sound. Including the most beautiful love song I have ever heard. "... In its spacious, leisurely and unassuming way, Like a Packed Cupboard But Quite... is exemplary. It's the work of Barcelona based Brazilian Didac P. Lagarriga, a man capable of atomising and blending a global array of influences without succumbing to the cloying blandishments of "World Music" or "fusion". Instead, Like a Packed Cupboard But Quite... is sleekly modern, enfolding dancing fragments of multiethnic sound in an atmosphere of digital clarity and deceptive calm ... However, there's no sense of textural overload, just a series of steadily hypnotic, subtle and deeply satisfying revolutions." - The Wire." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

UNISON - THE SUM 10"    (rimbaud)
"Serbian post-hardcore heros UNISON see that we get another beating with another classic record. This is the 10" vinyl version of THE SUM which was released on cd via Belgrades HA-KO BASTARDS. More to come on this one.It will be available from Fuck-Yoga records(Macedonia), Ha-Ko Bastards records(Serbia) as well as other distros closer to home in Ireland, England, Europe, Russia and from some friends in Asia and America." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

UNITED STATES LP    (life in a box)
"life in a box records and rok lok records are proud to present the distinguished debut lp from united states. comprising of members who have played in bands such as the assistant, scent of human history, ringers and the insurgent, united states present 8 songs of tuneful yet angular rythms that bring to mind the urgency of fugazi (circa in on the killtaker) and the indie bliss of sonic youth. also recommended for fans of meneguar and even cursive." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

UPSILON ACRUX - VOLUCRIS AVIS DIRAE-ARUM LP    (epicene sound systems)
"crazed prog of the brutal variety. calling the san diego area home, this, now, 5-piece's 4th full length sees the inclusion of a second drummer and even more abstraction and variety. like a thousand points of plight aimed directly at your sternum, each time change'll knock the fucking wind right out of you. playing chess in reverse never seemed so complicated, so they took a chainsaw directly to the board and made queens from guitar strings and kings out of the shards of mangled drumsticks. crisply produced and packaged exquisitely in resealable slip cases, multiple transparent acetate sleeves, and clear vinyl for staggering visuals to accompany staggering music. get this shit now before you're paying this heat prices for it on ebay. cd available on planaria." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

UTARID/TIALA CDEP    (satire)
"an international event, this split sees two bands from different continents at odds. tiala plays what's being called tokyo violence, a blend of thrash, emo-violence, and hardcore. in japan, most people see them as descending from the styles of there is a light that never goes out and the carnival of dark-split. utarid is becoming huge. right now they're on their first tour of europe (they're the first malaysian band ever!). these three songs are a perfect example of their style. fast, epic, huge. they remind me of tristan tzara or apoplexy twist orchestra." free utarid patches/stickers with the first few orders! (60kr/€6.50)

UTARID/AM I DEAD YET/A FINE BOAT, THAT COFFIN/THE MOCK HEROIC LP    (react with protest)
"four way tour split 12inch!! AFBTC are ex calling gina clark with more crazy spastic jazzy screamo grind / Utarid are hailing from malaysia and trying to dethrone reversal of man / Am I Dead Yet is a new belgium screamo machine and the Mock Heroic uks finest off minorish chaos emo band." (90kr/€9.50)

UTARID/SOPHORA 7"    (gasping for breath)
"Utarid are an emo violence band from Malaysian set to tour europe in august 2005 with the help of react with protest records. Sound-wise they are probably closest to bands like Orchid and Neil Perry. The other side of the 7inch features Sophora from Australia who play that more epic screamy style like city of caterpillar. The whole pressing is on clear vinyl and features hand screened artwork by dan davis of kodan armada." (40kr/€4.50)

UTON - SACRED HISS/GHOST ORACLE CD-R    (ikuisuus)
"Recorded at spring 2005 in Tampere. Strange & dark atmospheric drones & dreams from the other side of mind. Specially for the late night processes - whatever that is, it's your way to use it. Ask something, and the wind will tell you! 10 tracks - total 36:04 min." MP3 (55kr/€6)

VAGUE ANGELS/THE GANG TOUR 12"    (altin village)
"Released in a limited edition of 300 copies on white vinyl, this 12" features 3 songs each by Chris Leo s VAGUE ANGELS, here now for the first time as a full band, and by THE GANG from New Jersey, who are pretty much in the same vein, and include Chris & Ted Leo s brother Danny (ex-HOLY CHILDHOOD) on drums." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

VAMPIRE CAN´T - KEY CUTTER LP    (load)
"This 2005 recording collaboration of VAMPIRE BELT, the long running Western Massachusetts duo of CHRIS CORSANO (frequent YOD associate and collaborator with JANDEK, JOHN OLSON, and PAUL FLAHERTY) and BILL NACE (X.0.4.). VAMPIRE BELT specializes in all over the kit percussion on deeply audio effected guitar histrionics. They have two releases out on Hot Cars Warp, which will be soon re-released on Ben Chasney s (SIX ORGAN OF ADMITTANCE)record label. Their sound is overblown but features long prarie stares as punctuation. CAN T is Jessica Rylan s long standing vocal/electronic project. Her sound is self described as friendly, intimate and creepy like anonymous postcards sent to you by a rain soaked prisoner ... And I am in no mood to argue.. Its got moments of beautiful song and scary blurt. The collaboration sound, you ask? Very much the collision of these two entities: the soundz of RYLAN s homemade electronics butting up against NACE s splayed guitar, all the while punctuated by the free jizz drum rambo of CORSANO. The record has several burners, and plenty of moments of parking lot moan and search. Really, a record like this has not come out since ESP-DISK its last batch of mid 70's weirdness. FACT!" MP3 (100kr/€10.50)

VAN PELT - SAME AS STONE/THE SWEDES DOWN THE BEACH 7"    (red cars go faster)
"The Van Pelt 7" featuring two unreleased songs recorded in 1994/95 at WGSN studios in Washington dc by Geoff Turner (Gray Matter) is out now. These songs have never seen the light and were played by the same members of the first album, except for Toko who joined the band a while later. This is the beginning of one of the most seminal bands of the last decade, it's a kind of document of how the whole thing started. It starts here and ends in the last months of ’97. This is the prologue. It comes on black and brown-that-actually-looks-a-way-bronze. Great artwork by angelino/la quiete (www.amiam.org)." (40kr/€4.50)

THE VANISHING VOICE - NORDIC VISIONS LP    (gipsy sphinx)
"While Wooden Wand and Satya Sai jammed with the Sky High Band in beautiful California, the Vanishing Voice dug in deep in the frozen northeast. Snowed in with utopian texts and mounting paranoia, Steven the Harvester, Heidi White Diamond Diehl, and Pete Wolfy Nolan joined Nonhorse in an abandoned textile factory, boiling out these ballads of suspended disbelief and hope for the better world. Totally immersed in the psychedelic mind waves, it's hard to keep track of time or place. Soul fuel for cosmic groove riders. 525 copies. 180g vinyl. High quality paste-on art. Numbered inserts." (140kr/€14.50)

THE VANISHING/SIXTEENS 12"    (gold standard labs)
"san francisco trio the vanishing return to gsl with a follow-up to last year's songs for psychotic children full-length. fronted by former subtonix sax player jesse eva, the band have amassed a growing cult of loyal fans, gripped by the band's sultry goth-dance rhythms and eva's manic, unpredictable live presence. the san francisco bay guardian, in describing the band's 'exhilarating, synth-driven sound and visual stage show', insist that the vanishing 'can't be written off as just goths', and that much is undeniable. traces of glass candy, adult, sisters of mercy and the birthday party hint at the band's versatility, and the brisk sales of songs... suggests that they are indeed striking a chord amongst the disaffected pale-faced youth of america. a recent european tour and three-week residency in berlin's avant-garde hotbed, kreutzberg, may indeed be making them household names on other shores. the vanishing's two new songs are back-to-back with the gsl debut of berkeley's sixteens, also a trio with an affinity for the darker side of life. comparable to a synth-happy christian death by way of suicide, sixteens have been playing around the bay area for the past few years, self-releasing a full-length album in the process. sixteens contribute two songs." (80kr/€8.50)

VERONICA LIPGLOSS AND THE EVIL EYES - STRIP MALL GLASS 12"    (gsl)
"san francisco quartet veronica lipgloss and the evil eyes have been described as 'like an outtake from downtown 81', the Basquiat film inspired by new york's eclectic funk-punk/art scene of the early 1980's. the half-male, half-female group have been playing up and down the west coast for the past couple of years, amassing a growing cult of sweaty devotees hungry for their urgent postpunk dance beat and stage theatrics. their previous ep of self-described 'dirt-wave' on cochon records (vanishing, etc.) only hinted at the sonic possibilities, while this 2-track teaser for their upcoming full-length packs an audible punch." (80kr/€8.50)

VERTONEN - THE OCEAN IS GONE, THE SHIP IS NEXT CD    (ground fault)
"Vertonen is the name under which Blake Edwards has been recording experimental audio since 1991. Drawing on a wide array of sound sources - sometimes processed, sometimes not - Vertonen's sound output explores audio terrain ranging from crunchy and dense sonic chaos to off-kilter rhythms to deep evolving drones, making plenty of stops between. In addition to recording as Vertonen, Blake also runs the experimental music label C.I.P. (www.crippledintellectproductions.net) and has recorded for theatre." (80kr/€8.50)

VIALKA - CURIOSITES DES COUTUMES POPULAIRES LP    (maloka)
"8 amazing tracks from this Drums + Barytone Guitar duo born on the ashes of the incredible NNY! Crazy Drumming, catchy melodies from Punk to Traditional tunes travelling from Romania to the Balkans, and warm vocals: frantic and well-balanced songs to dance. LP version of their self released CD." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

THE VICIOUS 12"    (cmf/ny våg)
"Vicious is the latest of Classic sounding Swedish bands, finding there insperation in old American punkrock. We are talking make up and greasy hair and late 70 earlie 80 punkrock made by memebers from Tristess, Regulations, Cult of Luna and ex members from DS13 and International Noise Consperacy." MP3 (80kr/€8.50)

VIKI 7"    (snse)
"don't you dare call this 'garbagetronica," stupid. viki and her pile of reconfigured, misconstructed noize toyz will take you to the cleaners, bub. the 'new' new sound in electronical musics. side a contains the vikimix of 'perfect strangers', while side b holds the hott '976 reperfect' remix by lil' riki. these will not last long at a mere 500 copies pressed. nope, not long at all..." MP3 (30kr/€3.50)

VIVISICK - PUNKS WERE MADE BEFORE SOUNDS 7"     (busted heads)
"re-issue of an ep originally done by reliable us label sound pollution in 2001. this isn't a rare kbd style record, but it is out-of-print and sound pollution doesn't want to re-press it. but the band feels that the record is important since a lot of the songs are still in their live set. so it's bhr to the rescue! if you haven't heard vivisick, i think the description 'distorted, furious wall of hardcore chaos' is pretty accurate. overkilling japanese hardcore, over the top as always. the artwork and cover has been updated from the original release." MP3 (30kr/€3.30)

VMW - 2ND EP 7"    (youthattack)
"three more disorienting disasters from these semi-gifted groundbreakers confuse and delite your dullest desires. this time around, influences from various skinheads, drug-laced terrorists, and crossdressing sluts set the mood to your maniacal relapse. the luxurious 4 track production and beautiful overpriced packaging keep you captivated." MP3 (40kr/€4.50)

VMW LP    (coalition)
"the return of vmw! these cats were on their way to fame and fortune when they got sued by a major label. features members of das oath, holy molar and charles bronson. making songs and noises that hold the middle somewhere between classic unpolished 70s punk and saturday night disco fever for freaks. think of early public image ltd., chicks on speed, the damned and a heavy dose of snotty punk attitude. the vinyl limited to 1000 copies on colored vinyl." (100kr/€11)

VOKS - DARKVAKS 3" CD    (dekorder)
"Second 10-track (!) Mini-CD by John Peel (RIP) favourite Voks from Copenhagen on the Dekorder label after the (sold out) "Vaks Vanskab Ak". More incredible rocking electronic miniatures inspired by synthrock and Rock in Opposition acts like The Residents, Art Bears and Der Plan combined with influences from Southeast Asia, China, Africa, et al. Mastered by our friend the G-Man Gaeoudjiparl (formerly known to the world as Goodiepal). "Darkvaks is a bizarre toybox of misshapen concoctions and replications. Its opening, untitled track, set amid a quiet tempest of organs and xylophones, features what sounds like a doll that spouts Gregorian chant when you yank the string in its back. Another features similar plastic belchings of player piano, another feels like an attempt to mass-market a plastic toy version of Konono No.1. The ninth and final track might be the imagined soundtrack to a Japanese ceremony. All perfectly useless, in the useful sense of the word." -- The Wire. "The disc acts like a scatterbrained attempt at scoring an absurdist's animated short, full of swift mood swings but with enough open space to imply corresponding action or visual reference." --Brainwashed." MP3 (50kr/€5.50)

WALTER - BARR - HILLMER 10"    (epicene)
"Weasel Walter (the flying luttenbachers, xbxrx, lake of dracula, hatewave, etc..), Mick Barr (orthrelm, octic, ocrilm, quix*o*tic, crom-tech, etc), Sam Hillmer (zs). i almost feel nothing else needs to be said, but here goes anyway... 2 tracks recorded in 2004 by Colin Marston (behold... the arctopus, dysrhythmia, byla) at the PAINcave right after this trio's debut at the 2004 cmj fest in new york, and a 3rd track recorded in san fransico a year later. blistering, skonking, twisted free-jazz / modern composition by way of sinister metal band. one track written by walter, one by the trio, and one by hillmer. this could easily be a veriosn of the flying luttenbachers, although hillmer's track is a stand out and has an almost remix quality to it, even though it's not (think electro-acoustic, not techno remix). ltd to 300, never to be re-pressed on vinyl even again. white vinyl, amazing cover art by mick and weasel... looks like what you would expect... mick barr style drawing, weasel walter style color." (80kr/€8.50)

WARHAMMER 48K - KNIFE HITS PASTEUR SERIES 3" CD-R    (apop)
"Warhammer make Intense droning psych metal sludge. Frantic confused vocals submerged in layers of muck and grime. The cd is limited to 666 copies as all metal albums should be. The cds are packaged in Petri dishes with the artwork sealed in wax. Warhammer will be on tour during the coming months go see them and prepare o have your brain melted. This is the first release on the new apop Pasteur 3” cd series." MP3 (60kr/€6.50)

WARMER MILKS - INTERIORS TAPE    (fuck it tapes)
"Five track ep that attempts to be settling in execution but really comes off as just another uncomfortable Warmer Milks release. Acoustic jigs incriminated by dirgier scratched up electronic drum builds and a marching band stuck inside a Factory Records bathroom stall. Let us not forget the longer than anticipated whispering session and the extended moments of silence inbetween. All pieces written and performed by M/T. Recorded by Robert Beatty." (60kr/€6.50)

WEDDING METAL CD-R    (not not fun)
"Hey beetles: love IS all you need. HOWEVER, love’s radness magnifies intensely when you run it through a hot pink thrash master pedal and tons of insane delay and jack it all on a volume 10 sunn amp. Which is how we celebrated our punk noise nuptials. Twas the MOST epic/beautiful day, crowded with a million siked friends, bands, amplifiers, microphones, beers/wines, vegan buffets, high fives and headbangs. Fortunately for us/you, our dear dude Bobb Bruno paced his bourbon intake that night, allowing him to semi-soberly record the whole amorous/glamorous affair on his black metal 8-track. 60 minutes of ripping sets by loud loved ones like Mika Miko, Abe Vigoda, Rainbow Blanket/Cruel Face (i.e. Jeff & Greg Witscher), and Hello Astronaut, Goodby Television. Stamped CDR comes in a collage-photocopied party-splatter envelope stuffed with confetti barf and tied with rainbow ribbon and yarn. Limited, and made with only love." (50kr/€5.50)

THE WEEGS - THE MILLION SOUNDS OF BLACK LP    (hungry eye)
"On The Million Sounds of Black, the Weegs return to Hungry Eye with a second full length of tripped out distorto-skronk. They take their craggly claw, latch onto early American punk/ post-punk and California “no wave”, and drag them kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Now even more entrenched in a crypto- sarcastic anonymity, their disjointedly pulsing rhythm throbs along with hypnotic bursts of feedback and noise that would do Arto Lindsay proud. This art-damaged racket is still uncannily musical, like some freak-beat psych band gone horribly wrong. LP version is limited to 600 copies and comes with a CD that features a 40 minute bonus track." MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

WHITE MICE - MOUSE OF MENDES LP    (ohnono)
"the disgusting debut offering (originally self-released) from white mice finds a home on vinyl with an all new bside of nightmare enducing sonic destruction. the record is packaged in silkscreened sleeves and is limited to 502 copies with 100 (sold out) on smoke vinyl. 'providence rhode island's white mice are a three piece (bass, drums and oscillator) combining the menacing (kinda slouched) posture of black metal with blistering oscillator attack. the band does dress like lab butchered white mice when playing live. churning oscillator attacks, belly-bustin' bass, and demonic wails... rock music rewired for a generation punch drunk on its own fart fumes' - ben/load records" MP3 (90kr/€9.50)

WILLIAM SABISTON 3" DVD-R    (jyrk)
"You guys are probably familiar with this dude as a former member of Axolotl, as Ball Lightning or as a member of Bulbs.. William is not only a totally visionary percussionist, he's also a spectacular video artist. This release is a trilogy of his pixelvision work.. everything is super blown, black and white and low contrast.. it all feels like living x-rays, electrical storms and flying saucer hallucinations.. all of the films feature William's music as a soundtrack. limited to 90 copies" (60kr/€6.50)

WINDMILLS BY THE OCEAN LP    (robotic empire)
"WINDMILLS BY THE OCEAN is the title of a recently unearthed recording from August 2003, the sole output of Boston natives Mike Davis, Dave Dunbar, Brooke Gillespie, Bryant Clifford Meyer and Thos Niles. Since the project's beginning and end, the creators have continued on in such bands as 27, ANODYNE, ISIS, and RED SPAROWES, but the relevancy of this intense recording can be most appreciated now, three years after it's conception. The variety and depth to this (mostly) instrumental music documentation reaches far beyond those of any mere side-project, and the heavy-music genres are in dire need of something this refreshing. These rock-based songs incorporate so many elements of "drone" the group could almost reside next to their celestial forefathers SUNN and EARTH, except with more melody... and drums. However, the usage of keyboard and electronic elements alongside several guitars make the album more comparable to SIGUR ROS than BLACK SABBATH, but without compromising any of the heavy metal elements the members have become most-known for. The additional usage of improvisation and mild repetition allows the listener to relax into a slow headbang across five songs that each surpass the six-minute mark. But what makes this album most impressive is the triumphant, anthemic feel to it, especially considering the group never even made it to the live setting. An important period of musical evolution is captured here, and Robotic Empire is proud to present it to you." MP3 (120kr/€12.50)

WINFRED E EYE - A BOTTLE, A DOG CD    (lucky horse)
"Winfred E. Eye is Aaron Calvert singing, Craig Adams playing a few guitars, Mikel Garmendia playing a few things (but he likes guitar best), Chandan Narayan playing double bass and other bass-like instruments, Josh Kilbourn playing drums, and Dax Pierson playing keyboards. Andy Ward played bass on the first album and has done all the artwork for the band. Garmendia and Calvert met when they were members of other groups. Calvert was in the Los Angeles-based Evergreen, and Garmendia played in the Oakland-bred Cars Get Crushed. Both could loosely be defined as post-punk, and each enjoyed cult followings. However, neither sounded much like Winfred E. Eye does. Winfred E Eye's music is downtempo, often labeled "Americana" in reviews, and it's not nearly sugary enough for the cookie-cutter corporate expectations of early-21st-century American taste. It feels a little boozy, and the vocals scratch and groan, but this isn't Tom Waits. This is more like a few hours after the bourbon ran out, and the headache is approaching. Drawing heavily on the singer/ songwriter tradition and exempting itself from the need to create catchy pop songs, Winfred E Eye plays something like ambient Americana, a music for loneliness, a soundtrack for dusty roads and overnight stays in dingy hotels." WINFRED E. EYE - GLASSES CDEP     (monotonstudio)
"winfred e. eye hail from oakland, california to bring you pure homegrown music. after the local heroes cars get crushed and the holy evergreen have ended, aaron calvert and mikel garmendia felt the urge to continue with something fulfilling, something to portray the southern californian landscape and coastline that's surrounding them. lush acoustic guitar and piano combined with a vocal style that, a bit more accentuated and precise could easily compare to nick cave's voice... this little gem will please fans of black heart procession, godspeed you black emperor! and other people who find themselves in the more dark corners of life... soft, sad and lovely - a great record for sure." MP3 (30kr/€3.50)
